As predicted the jin yang storyline is a sad sub for urlick but I did like this finale. Agree it could end here but I am intrigued mostly by how gillfoyle will evolve in the next environment and did we see a hint at a believable romantic interest for him?

Yeah I think they've just about run out the string on "the gang has a great new idea, things are going well, self-inflicted disaster, deus ex machina" cycle that has happened like 3 times each season so far.

For a plot-driven comedy like this they really need to either change up the character roster or something if they want to just do another round of the exact same arc. It's a shame because so many of the characters still work, the Dinesh/Guillfoyle dynamic isn't even close to getting stale, but none of the characters ever growing and this season introduced no new characters of any importance and deleted Ehrlich was just... meh.

Yeah, I think they TRIED to make a thing out of the new assistant, but man, aside from his direct interactions with Jared it just isn't hitting for me. They really need a new side character to come in and drive the action for a good 5 episodes like Hanneman did in S2.

Bringing back Hanneman for a cameo was kind of sad and definitely a "last season ever" move, don't remind the audience of how the show used to have funny characters from outside the original core when all you have this season is the assistant and the 2 employees who had lines.

I enjoyed the season as a whole

Gillfoyle, Dinesh, and especially Jared are just all great enough characters that it's enjoyable to watch regardless of the flaws with the plot.

Gavin is great too
