It feels like this show found its groove again last year and the first episode of Season 8 was a nice start to the season. I could watch Frank make amends all season.

I hope Lip/professor stuff builds throughout the season as those 2 are good together

Renewed for a 9th season

Wow. I hope they don't drag it out too long and it tails off like too many shows do. Last season's finale worked well as a series finale.

They have to figure out a way to bring Mickey back for season 9. Mandy too.

Very pleasant surprise. I thought that this show runs on the start of the year. Remember now that last season run later in the year. It was leak but still nice imo. I read here that last season should be the last one, but in the last minute it was renewed. Nice that it will have 9th season. Strong start.

cant stand the standard AA tripe being espoused. really hope they dont go done the road of making it seem that AA is the only way to live.

I thought bringing Sean back was unnecessary. Overall it has been solid. Not much to complain about but also nothing great either.

Agreed, the Sean cameo was rather pointless. Loving the Lip/professor storyline.

Still really enjoying the show, easy watch and some nice boobs.

No real big storylines right now.

Saint Francis and Lips AA are about the only things that seems to have run since e1 this season. Everything else just popping up and fading away.

Liam is a good actor.

Anyone still watching? Very weak story lines this season, only really interested in Lip right now, still enjoy most of the characters, but show needs to give them something. The Ian-Fiona fight made little sense, why the hell was Ian so upset about it? I thought his mental health would become an issue again but that seems to have been forgotten about. Oh well, I will still watch for Lip.

it made plenty of sense to be mad at fiona though. she was taking away housing from a bunch of homeless people just so the area by her apartments looks nicer. the gallaghers would have been against that at any point in time during this series. it was a big deal for fiona to go from being a have not to a have

and i think its better they allow ian to be passionate about things without having to blame everything on bipolar

Eh, to me its one of the best seasons in a while. Lip awesome as always, and even Deb is bearable!

I see no mention of Frank, don't tell me that watching him sing "My heart will go on" didn't crack you up. His story line is very funny this season.

ya I think this season has been pretty great. the fiona vs ian thing made total sense from both of their pov. I mean fiona has nearly her whole net worth tied up in that apartment so she has every incentive to try to protect it.

and sure the show is pretty predictable, esp with the ford guy actually being "complicated" but whatever the actors are great to watch I still laugh at most of the predictable jokes.

and even the debbie storylines and jokes have been pretty good lately, countdown for the morning after, fight with the thief and sexy welder girl.

karl's girl is great and should easily insert a bunch of craziness. fionas lesbian friends are pretty useless tho.
