I’ve watched the first season (9 episodes) and find it very interesting. The premise is disturbing, the same way many of the Black Mirror story lines were.
I thought the first season was mostly excellently creepy. Cast is very good and the buildup was outstanding. Looking forward to season 2 but watching season 1 was so stressful I honestly don't mind having the break lol.
I enjoyed it after 2 or 3 episodes, and only because i was lost in the first 2 episodes, once the show went on it got really good, (im still confused as f**k but enjoyed it nonetheless)
Great show and excellent premise. I find myself getting more annoyed by shows like this with a mystery premise and very few reveals in the first season(s), though. By the time S2 rolls around I'll probably feel confused about S1. Still an excellent show. Just wish there were a little bit more reveals in S1.
Just binged it in two days, I think some of the first few episodes could be trimmed but other than that loved it. Legitimately on the edge of my seat the last few minutes of the season.
I am currently tearing through this after all the positive posts in the various Tv threads here. Through four eps and can’t remember the last time I was this hooked on a show.
Just watched the final episode today. Overall the show in about a week. Loved it.
Spoiler:
The final episode was especially great and so glad Helly was able to get to the speech. I was biting my nails as a viewer and thought the plug might be pulled just before that moment. Hell the whole episode had so much drama to it. Everything with Mark also seemed like it could be a close call on if things would get spoiled to him or not in the episode.
Just finished this show. This was legit one of my favorite seasons of television of all time, up there with s2 of the Leftovers.
Acting across the board was phenomenal. Turturro is great in everything. Adam Scott is perfect as the confused everyman. Was not familiar with Britt Lower but she was freaking fantastic in this. Guy who played Melchick was incredible as well (Defiant Jazz dance party scene may be the best scene of the season). For me Arquette was probably the weak link, I just felt like her Jewish grandma vocal inflections to be kind of weird and off-putting.
I thought it was OK, it answered some questions but left enough hanging for s2.
Spoiler tags just in case:
Spoiler:
One thing I wish they would have done though is let Helly's speech run longer. She got cut off so quickly that we don't know if the audience might think it was just a joke (something I suspect "outie" Helly may say as soon as the overtime contingency ends).
My one quibble with the plot is with the Overtime Contingency. For something so drastic, one missing flash card seems like a random reason to use it. But I guess from a plot point of view, they needed to show it was possible and that the innies knew about it.
