I'm looking forward to Stewart and Ansari, but George Wallace and Robert Klein could be incredible.

The theme song was great. Garry Shandling Show vibe.

If I ran into Sarah Jessica Parker on the street I would have no idea who she is. My mental image or her is from like 1995.

Also posted on the site is an interview Letterman does with Seinfeld about the show. Couldn't watch the whole thing because of a choppy internet connection but the first 10 minutes or so peeked my interest.

this interview just confirms for me something i've thought a long time - that for someone who has been insanely successful in comedy, jerry doesn't really have a good handle whatsoever on what is entertaining, what is funny, and why people watch things.

don't get me wrong, i think that applies to a bunch of comedians, writers, podcast hosts, etc etc, but jerry always seems so sure of himself while being completely wrong on a lot of stuff.

yeeeeeeeeep wrote all that before the cringeworthy 'only comedians laugh at this joke!' bs.

To be fair to Seinfeld, it's basically impossible to have his life and not develop an enormous self assurance about your own opinions on your area of specialty. It's very, very rare to have someone be that successful and NOT think that they've figured it all out.

I have to say it's also a little bit ironic that Random Internet Poster knows, with absolute certainty apparently, "what is entertaining, what is funny, and why people watch things" but that Jerry Seinfeld does not. That's bit of a stretch, don't you think?

personally, if i ever declared 'no one in here will laugh at this joke', then 30 seconds later witnessed the entire auditorium roar with laughter, i might start to question why am i so assured about things.

i tend to glroify anything that has Vegas in it, so i might be biased, but i liked this one a lot. Also always wondered if these contract performers actually live in the casinos they perform in, and i guess George has a sweet at the Flamingo. I imagine that's how it is for most of them? not saying they live there 365, but they probably have nice setups inside the casino they work in?

I found the Wallace episode was absolutely unwatchable. Two not very nice nor very funny people being obnoxious and smuggly arrogant in their interactions with the hoi polloi.

I loved a few of the early episodes of this show--Larry David, Alec Baldwin, Brian Regan...--but it's been really awful for a while now. Pretty much the epitome of self-indulgence.

SJP episode was surprisingly good and she seemed cool. The funniest things Jerry ever says on the show are when he makes fun of the cars.

Is it just me or did the Klein ep seem horribly edited? It was like half his jokes I couldn't follow because they cut them up.

Aziz is somehow extremely overrated in some crowds, but virtually unknown in others.

klein ep had very brief moments. just got the sense klein was burnt out (or maybe just his age)

aziz ep had some funny parts, but only because they were funny bits. they just seemed to be telling each other bits, instead of stories from the past, which what makes the show enjoyable to me. certainly little chemistry, but they're from different generations, so i find it understandable.

Obviously late to this discussion but this comment made me think of this video.

I thought Seinfeld said some really strange stuff about what he thinks an audience wants to see.
