The first show just aired and the early viewer feedback indicates that this was quite good. Did anyone catch it?

I remember during season 7 of Curb thinking I'd literally watch a show with just Jerry and Larry talking. And now it looks like it's here. I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

love LD i could laugh at curb gifs for hours but i really don't like Jerry... I would have thought they were both stoned if they were not at that age

the end was funny ("you cannot parade in briefs"). i didn't really enjoy the rest too much but i will definitely watch the next episode with ricky gervais. he is one of the best at talking about nothing.

really enjoyed that, if you're not a big fan of seinfeld/curb i wouldn't bother but if that's your sort of thing you'll probably really enjoy it.

I liked this a lot, just because Jerry and Larry have such an amazing chemistry. I'm skeptical that episodes without LD will be as fun.

+1 to all of the praise for the first episode, though I'm a pretty big fan of both Jerry and LD. I agree with Yeti that I'm not sure I'll have the same amount of love for it when the guest is someone I'm not as familiar with, though seeing Ricky Gervais and the lesser-known-but-still-outstanding Brian Regan in the previews got me excited.

I've always thought that Jerry's skills as a comedian have been overshadowed because of how iconic the TV show became, so I'm hoping he continues to impress me as the episodes go on and I'm optimistic that he will.

If the guests are good the show will be good. LD was obv a slam dunk. I don't worship at the altar of Gervais like some but I think it'll still be funny. Regan I dunno. Would like to see Louis CK, who would probably just be annoyed by the whole situation.

Curious about the "just borrowed" - did you say that because of the "courtesy of Columbus 81 Productions" line at the end? Because that's Seinfeld's production company.

I loved the episode - cool thing about Larry / Jerry interaction is that it's one of the few times we see Larry with a true peer - so much of the undercurrent of Curb is that he's on such a different plane than everyone else with whom he comes into contact (money, power, etc) that he can basically do whatever the hell he wants.

I could watch these guys for hours. Thanks for posting the link.

imo, it was pretty obvious that Volkswagen paid for product placement. I mean, think about it: there were no commercial interruptions (nor were there any banner ads on the site), they made a HUGE deal out of the VW Bug throughout the episode, and they even stopped on the street to admire another VW sports car parked there.

I never once thought it was Seinfeld's car, but instead used as a promotion provided by VW.
