I loved this episode. Really unique in that they're dealing with something on earth that they have to deal with instead of created. The Ice-T character turned out to be amazing. The whole religion aspect was great. Songs were good, nice birdperson and tammy cameo. Very quotable. This felt more like an episode that I really love than all the other ones from this season.
Huh, I thought this was the weakest episode of the season so far. Bird person appearance was good, I liked the first song, and the tag w/ Ice-T was entertaining. The cult plotline fell a bit flat for me though, and I didn't like the rest of the musical bits as much as 'get schwifty'. Still 8/10 though.
I thought the religion stuff was a bit too heavy-handed and "obvious" ("look, we're making weird explanations for random things happening and basing our lives on it!" "Hey, Jerry and Beth said they want to just do their own thing and be happy, let's cast them off!") but otherwise, it was really good.
Bird Person was particularly awesome. "You appear to be dying. I will make efforts to prevent this, but can promise nothing."
Ha, great episode. "Wait for the ramp, Morty. They love the slow ramp. Really gets their dicks hard when they see this ramp just slowly extending down."
Get your **** together. Get it all together and put it in a backpack. All your ****, so it's together. And if you gotta take it somewhere, take it somewhere you know, take it the **** store and sell it, or put it in a **** museum, I don't care what you do, you just gotta get it together. Get your **** together.
