Nice to hear Bill mention Adelson in a negative way this week.

Bolded is easily the worst part of the show. I normally sit through them, but rarely get much more than an occasional chuckle out of it. Maher's strong suit is obv panel based discussion, never been a huge fan of his stand up in any context.

Yup was a really good show and I thought the panel may be lame.

Maher killed it in this last episode. Weiner did too, for that matter. It's a shame he ruined his political career on twitter because he is insanely smart and quick witted.

Yeah but he missed the same opening when talking to the Christian guy that everyone misses. As soon as he got the guy to say "Bill, that was the old covenant and Jesus changed everything," Maher should have immediately followed it up with "I'm glad you said that, now let's talk about gay marriage!"

I thought the Christian dude was a good sport and to even come on that show was brave. Limited time also as that guest is limited to what 5 minutes tops

Well its not the Ali G show so he obviously knew what he was getting into, but yeah I agree. Also, unlike many religious media types that appear on this kind of show, he actually did seem to come across as what a "decent Christian man" is supposed to be like (and I mean that 100% non-sarcastically) even though I agreed with basically nothing he said.

The overtime was really good this week. John Waters might be the funniest dude he's on had on show

Mac throws out a completely unnecessary insult disparaging the intelligence of anyone who *gasp* doesn't agree with him politically, and implies that he thinks that he himself is considerably smarter than folks with similar political views to Maher. While doing so he manages to **** up one of the 13 words he used to make his point. Dude deserved to be mocked.

Meanwhile - yeah, urban dictionary is pretty relevant in this case: it shows that "wat" is an acceptable internet term used and understood very well in this medium. As opposed to "que", which isn't used by anyone except those who don't know how to spell "cue."

Surprised no comments with Nate silver as guest....first time seeing him on tv...he's really an introverted guy, needs to work on his presence. He needs to realize his audience is not that smart so his points need to be simpler and direct. He also got the middle seat which meant he was looking back and forth as the other two debated with him barely speaking the first 15 minutes - was actually kind of funny.
