Im not an ann coulter fan but I thought she pretty much owned everyone else on the panel. The guy closest to Bill seemed really dumb and was just over matched anytime he was challenged.

I like that Ann is on occasionally because I have trouble picturing that people can realistically have most of those viewpoints. I wish more of those people agreed to go on and at least applaud her courage for doing so.

The main problem the other guests had was that when they went to make retorts, they never got around to addressing what Coulter said.

If she says illegal immigrants are getting welfare, don't start talking about how your parents were immigrants and they worked hard to birth you in America or wtf ever. Directly answer her nonsense.

I thought Mary Catherine Ham and Michael Eric Dyson were both great, which is surprising, since I find them both borderline insufferable when they're on Fox and MSNBC respectively. On the one hand it's nice to know that most of these pundits are pretty reasonable when they're not in their native environment (hell even Ann Coulter wasn't that bat**** last week), but it's also frustrating that cable news encourages pandering so much.

I hate how Bill continues to ignore the trade deal which is pure AIDS. He mentioned it as a victory for Obama.

The Republicans pushed it hard. Giant red flag.

I swear to God, I had to pause it last night and step away for a while. When I returned I saw that I had paused it on a shot that showed both girls. Something about seeing and not hearing them made me realize for the first time how hot they BOTH were. I had to beat off.

I'm 48 years old. That NEVER happens!

You'll be 48 some day. Then you'll better appreciate it.

How sad is it that the best Pataki can do is get a spot as the token republican on the panel? Especially on an episode that didn't even have a solo opening guest.

That Jorge Ramos guy was really annoying and that "a person can't be illegal" line was just sad. Also, i really wish that libs would quit conflating illegal immigrants and legal immigrants.

the vast majority of illegal immigrants were at one time legal immigrants. That may be why.

I'm not one to support PC bs, and frankly I have never minded Bill Maher's Islam bashing (and even agree with him the majority of the time) but I think he was majorly in the wrong this week when saying that although the Muslim kid (who made the clock) didn't deserve to be arrested, that he should've coopoerated more with the teacher who had given him a hard time about it.

Bill kept saying (in essence), "It was wrong, but what should the teacher have done?" and "Maybe had the other terrorists not been Muslims..." etc.

It's the EXACT same argument as when white people in response to the police brutality videos against black people say, "Yes, the police reacted with too much force, but why couldn't the black person have just cooperated with the cop? Don't they know if a cop asks for id, just give it to them."

Idunno, it just didn't sit right with me. I mean, yes most of the terrorists have been radical Muslims, but still the % of Muslims who are terrorists is an insanely small %, certainly not enough to make any kind of rational judgment that a Muslim's actions deserve more suspicion than a non Muslim. And the fact that everyone was agreeing with him and making light of the situation was a little scary.

I'm not one to get offended but something about that whole segment struck a chord with me. Anyone else?

I didn't watch but I read about it and agree with you completely - usually don't mind / agree on those things (I'm with him and Harris vs Affleck for ex.), but wasn't feeling this at all.

I thought Chris Matthews made a pretty good point that people on both sides are jumping to conclusions without all the information.

Also it seemed like Cuban was kind of implying that he thought the kid did it purposely to get the reaction it did... He didn't really get to finish his thought. But it is kind of strange that he didn't explain himself immediately.

What about Muslims who build homemade clocks? I bet the percentage goes up a notch.

since the initial break of the story it has kinda taken a turn in that direction in some circles. granted i saw this on lolreddit, but it seems like the kid didn't 'invent' the clock whatsoever, he likely just took the components out of a commercial clock and took them into school to generate controversy.

i agree with chris matthews, no one really knows wtf happened and i think it's silly to speculate on national television. given i'm on OOT i will say it certainly seems like there's a good chance the kid was intentionally trying to drum up trouble.

It seems more and more likely that this was a hoax/publicity stunt.

There are videos now showing that he simply disassembled an old Radio Shack alarm clock and put it in a case. He didn't create anything. His father is a very politically active guy with connections to the CAIR and a history of involvement with publicity stunts like this.

It is also being reported that Ahmed showed multiple teachers his 'invention' after initially being told to put it away. Then, when he did find a teacher who got nervous and notified authorities, he refused to answer questions as to what the device was or why he brought it to school. These seem like completely reasonable questions to be asked when walking around with a device that resembles an IED inside of a school, regardless of your religion or any other factor.

I'm reminded of the 'balloon boy' fiasco a few years back. The more you scratch the surface of this story, the more it stinks.
