I am surprised Howard is hesitant to do the show, unless he is just enjoying bathing in his money and doesn't want to do much of anything nowadays. He's always been a great guest on Letterman (for example) and I never got the impression during those appearances that he didn't want to be there.

He hates traveling, views a 6-hour plane ride as a 6-month jail sentence. Says he's trying to figure out a way to hype this book just doing NYC-based talk shows, and avoiding LA.

Also, he tries to avoid politics on his show, and when it does come up, he KNOWS that he doesn't know what he's talking about, thinks he'd be a bad fit for Maher's show.

BTW, he says he loves Real Time, watches every week.

Yeah he could easily fade politics chat by just being the last guest on which seems reserved for people pimping books anyway. I get not wanting to fly though.

as a kinda long term howard fan yeah he hates doing anythign social and used to have axual kind of like anxiety when out in public. hates flying , he went on a week on his show bithcing about doing lettermans show for netflix as well and even thugh he and jimmy kimmel are super close friends he doesnt hang out much only when he is in NY since he isnt flying lol

I personally think the whole Biden thing is bs, but wow it was not a great look this week with Maher really going to bat for the ol' "Why can't women say something at the time", etc. during the whole Biden discussion.

Bad reads here. Maher wasn't actually offended, and he is rarely the funniest person in the room, so he was used to that as well.

I find Bill to be acting like more of a dick lately. I know being arrogant is his shtick but it's getting tired. His habit of berating his audience every time they don't laugh at an unfunny joke is obnoxious.

I don't often see him berate the audience for not laughing. It's usually because someone groans at a line they consider not PC. He has little patience with the super liberals who judge every joke based on their social justice values.

He does it every show now multiple times. Says some terrible joke audience doesn't laugh and he goes "oooh did I heart your liberal feelings? Just wait for my even edgier non-pc joke that's coming next."

yep, W0X0F is wrong. it happens all the time, and typically they are simply **** jokes (and i'm a very generous laugher when it comes to this show). it's a super common complaint on the subreddit.
