Vicente is a fascinating ****ing guy. Sad that Bill stepped on his "what's the pay?" Joke.

Also, Bill's rallying against anti-depressants drive me nuts. He's never had children. He doesn't have any idea how helpful this stuff is to those kids and families.

There is something to what he is saying. Him apologizing again this week for the DNC being corrupt, Hillary, and Brazile last week, while telling Bernie supporters to quiet down, drives me nuts.

As a teenage I was on a ton of antidepressants and have had plenty of people around me on them my entire life. As a science geek of emotions, from what I can tell it's like trying to patch a tire while the nail is still in the tire. For normal depression it's best to get at the root cause, drugs isn't gonna help. 40 years down the line you're still gonna be a bag o' nuts.. After writing that kinda reminds me of AA too, people think they are fixed yet they hit the 40 year mark, get their chip and are still scrambled eggs in the brain.

You know how you can tell a mental health pro is obsolete/snake oil salesmen? They don't mention neuroplasticity and try to upsell you on drugs for basic stuff like depression and anxiety.

Completely agree with the above and was going to post a similar opinion about route cause and drugs, but felt like it might have been too much a tangent off the scope of this thread about the show. Everybody's going to do what they believe is best for them and it's easier said when you're not the one suffering too. It's frustrating to see doctors treat symptoms with drugs and then think that's the end all/be all, often leaving people in worse condition than they started out or with larger future problems.

The Parkland guys did a pretty good job. Entertaining segment and they got their message across, though they are quite married to their talking points.

One of them really seemed to have his **** together, quite impressive on the national stage at his age. The other almost seemed a bit unstable. Regardless, remarkable what they're going to accomplish, but the concern I have is that they might come off or rub some people the wrong way if they're always screaming at people.

I assume you meant Hogg as the one who seemed pretty well put together and I agree. Other kid was a bit strange. And yeah I think they could tone the hostility down and won't accomplish much if that's how they're going to frame the discussion. They need the adults on their side to actually accomplish anything, after all.

Or they need to ramp up the hostility and motivate the public, which is how they got public support for gun restrictions up from 50% to 70%, and a bunch of corporations to take action against the NRA and against selling guns. They've already accomplished more on this issue than almost any other time in US history.

The public has already been overwhelmingly in support of things like universal background checks though. Hasn't mattered though because the NRA has much of Congress by the balls. I get what you're saying though.

That Latina chick, who is on too often, is somehow more grating than Kathy Griffin which is impressive in a bad way.

Good episode I thought despite Navarro being really annoying. The Kathy Griffin interview was fascinating. I knew she got into hot water over the decapitated Trump head but it's completely absurd that she was put on all of these watch lists and is being hounded by the DOJ on a daily basis over what amounts to a really inappropriate joke.

Also really liked what I heard from Trae Crowder. Hope he's back on again soon.

She's so brutal. Almost as annoying as Jack Kingston.

Normally hate Navarro, but didnt mind her this episode.

Bari Weiss is great and should be a regular panelist.

Navarro is like Hillary Clinton in this respect: when I READ her words, I think she's terrific. But the way she speaks sends me right up the wall.

(I can't think of any men I'd say that about, which made me worry that maybe this was me being misogynistic...but then I realized I can't think of any other women I'd say that about, so I let myself off the hook.)

I don't follow many people on twitter, but I try to follow some reasonable Republicans to balance my liberal twitter feed, and she's one of them.

It's her tone and cadence. She delivers even the most banal comments like she's standing in a house that's on fire. She's fine in spurts but when she takes part in really long segments her personality becomes really grating.

I thought last night's episode was meh. Hated that Sorkin guy and the dressing down that Billy Bush received was so over the top imo.

Funny she strikes me the same way.

I thought he was overboard on lecturing Billy Bush. Man the guy may not be a fav but what did he do wrong with Trump other than listen and laugh.

There's no way to rewind the tape and do it over, but I'd bet even money that Bill Maher would have laughed, too.
