Homeland - Season 2 Homeland - Season 2

09-30-2012 , 08:23 PM
The second season of the arguably best "recently new" show starts tonight.

I imagine there'll be heaps more discussion on here this time around so it warrants its own thread for the new season.

Trailers:

Pretty excited..

That was an incredible start to S2. Loved Carrie's expression as she walked away from the incident in the market.

Only big question I have from this episode: When Carrie's student asked her a question in Arabic (I assume) after being pulled out of the classroom by the CIA guy and she responded "That's nobody" or something like that. Was that normal because she is teaching people English, or, did she get caught off guard there and now someone knows she is fluent in Arabic?

It's an ESL class for Arabs.

The episode was called "The Smile". Can't argue with that title..

Really good episode...but damn, I forgot how bizarre looking Claire Danes is.

I like how they reinserted Carrie into the CIA.

The Brody being found out as a Muslim is going to be interesting in the future when it is revealed. Curious to see how they will write the public's reaction to such news.

The Iranian nuclear program being front page news this past week is undoubtedly just a coincidence but I really like how they are tackling the fall out from a real world event that could easily happen over the next year.

Yeah, I thought the way they Carrie got involved again with the CIA was about as good as could be expected.

I didnt care for the scene where Brody had to steal info from the safe. Too unrealistic and too much false tension when you knew there was no way he was getting caught at this point.

All in all I didnt think it was a great episode, but it was was fine and Im looking forward to where things are going.

She really is perfect for the role because she just naturally looks like a complete psychopath. Maybe that's just good wardrobe/makeup though because I still think she's hot lol.

Awesome premiere. How are there so few posts itt?

Need to re-watch as I was inebriated after getting home from a football game last night. But so far so good...

Was the relative pacing of last night's episode on par with S1? Tough for me to tell as I watched the entire first season in about a week.

I love the Brody/Dana relationship. Really interesting too how she was the first one to know about the Muslim stuff/doubt Brody, and eventually she could be one of his only supporters.

I wish I didn't watch that extended coming attractions at the end of the episode. They gave away a pretty good sense of direction for the season

To me it felt like a faster pace than S1
