Speaking of other Los Angeles non-realistic things, my friend and I were laughing how Ray seems to get around so quickly from place to place. Fantasy land.
Obv I know oaks isn't Catholic. I meant like chaminade, alemany, so nd, crespi, etc. Lots a good Catholic hs in the sf valley

The guy who directed tonight's episode, dan attias, has a son who murdered a few kids in a drug induced rage. Look up david attias and the isla vista massacre

I'm irritated by quite a bit of this show, at least in the first 3 episodes. The last two have been pretty decent. Every scene with the brothers intrigues the hell out of me though. I'd be fine if they focused most of the show on them, then touched base with Ray and his stuff on occasion.

like the show but it would be WAAAAAAAAAAAY better if rays wife n kids were killed in some tragic accident. cant think of one scene featuring any of them that wasnt awful.
also pretty crazy when u think about the difference in the quality of the children actors between GoT n this show.
i understand they need to create more dramatic tension with the plot device of him trying to protect his family from his dad but holy jesus **** like that whole extended scene with the kids n neighbor hanging out drinking/smoking then daughter making out n son puking was just so absurdly awful and unecessary.

i really liked the first few episodes and had really high hopes but the last few eps have been pretty meh.

I had a guy at work recommend this, haven't read through the thread as I don't want to stumble across if I do decide to watch. Worth a gander on recommendation alone?

Basically everything in this show that doesn´t involve Ray or his crazy employees sucks. I kinda like the lawyer/agent douchebag, but come on, we´ve seen Ari Gold before so we know what you´re doing. As for the rest, yeah, I mean, it´s so "realistic" that everybody is a loser/******ed/physically handicapped/tranny/horrible lay/depressed etc etc. I hate hate hate all that depressing pseudo-naturalistic crap.

A lot of it is really, really good. But I'm starting to agree that it could use a "director's cut" to get rid of a bunch of the filler.

I'd watch he **** out of a show that was just Jon Voight and James Woods one-upping each other with degen Hollywood stories. Add in a guest every week - Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda...

"Inside the Actors Studio" but with more coke and orgies.
