I can't even stand the way Ray's son walks. Every mannerism, look, line, and movement from that kid actor pisses me off. The writers really help out too; my favorite part of this episode was when the kid had been hanging out in Shorty's apartment for a while and then asks him, "Are you sick?" Jesus Christ how did you figure that one out sport?

The cop who is Abby's lover doesn't make sense at all. He's a straight, good cop who has a fling with Abby and decides he's going to try to frame a cold-blooded gangster killer for her?

And what's with the video of the killing? Someone is seriously going to try to sell it for a few grand? Perhaps an idiot but why would anyone think they could get the only copy?

There was so much **** in the show, but the kid was by far the worst. Also, while I think Liev more or less does a fine job, I think I gave him far too much credit on this show for far too long. He has some character who is supposed to be scarred/complex, so he just has to say nothing and act straight-faced, and he seems like he is doing a great job. Starting to wear a bit thin imo

that was another good episode. i love how bad the kids are. they are amazing!! both of them are just godawful, so bad it's laughable.

the robbery was good drama. the cookie story is good. the reporter, the fbi appointee are good stories too.

ray's wife and kids are sooooooooooo bad! the wife is a decent actress. she was great on deadwood. she was ok on caprica too. but man, this character is just awful.

i can't believe the kids got cast. what the hell... there are some great young actors out there. i don't get it.

The only reasonable excuse I can think of for the cop willing to go off the deep end is that it has just as much to do with wanting to see a child killer in jail or dead as it does his willingness to do something stupid for her.

My favorite, by far, is Jon Voigt as Mickey. The guy pretty much knows how to say or do the wrong thing in every situation and, most importantly, make it utterly genuine. Here's the joke he tells to a guy who he knows is a recovering victim of a pedophile priest. I love how these TV series allow enough character development that you can actually believe that the guy would say something like this.

Yup still can't figure out why I continue to watch. End of the season has at least been more fun/interesting for lack of a better word. Mickey is great no matter what tho.
