are you just talking about when he didn't want to shake down his old friend for the money she pledged to ezra (and later did anyway)?
this show is so ****ing scrubby, and all i ever hear about it is how it broke viewership records for a showtime pilot. so tilting WHY DO I EVEN WATCH THIS DUMB ****
In the first season, Ray was clearly the good guy turning bad because of daddy issues. This season, Micky stepped back and he doesn't conflict with Ray no more. I find interesting to see Ray breaking bad and having nobody to blame but its own selfishness. I think the show still could turn good with how everything is open ended at this point (well, there isn't any plot to be solved anyway).
Talking of breaking bad, I've noticed quite a few scenes that are similar (omg how can he even mention BrBa ITT???) in their weirdness such as the dolphin scene in the first ep this year. Like somebody said earlier, it's more artsy and that's enough to make me look forward to watching it every week.
Btw I learned this week that Jon Voight (Mickey) is Angelina Jolie's dad.
