Cancer storyline is the nut low and they have 2 freakin characters with it and dying Hate it.

I'm lovin' the new blue-collar flip-phone bus-riding Ray Donovan. He only gets beat up three times this episode and says "What?" only twice. Apparently, all women are hot in New York as well as LA. Who would have known?

Except Bridget.

But seriously, I don't know much about LA, but if you walk around at the right places and times in NYC it can sure seem that way.

last season was all about Abby getting cancer and choosing not to fight it while Ray wanted to and pulled all these strings to get her into experimental treatment, only to have Abby kill herself instead. with terry and bridget watching/helping her do it because it’s what she wanted

it ended with Ray hallucinating and jumping into the river, which is how this season starts.

other storyline was Mick and Darryl making a movie. Mick helped hide the body of someone who was killed by this big time actor, who was friends with darryl. so Mick used that to blackmail them into producing this movie and having the actor star in it. but then his ideas were terrible so the producer of the movie got Darryl to turn on Mick and entrap him so that he confessed and the fbi busted in to arrest him. so mick went to jail

can’t remember what terry and bunch were up to. I think terry was just helping out and supporting Abby when Ray wasn’t. He may have kissed Abby too, but that’s it. Bunch I think owns the bar now, but he also got robbed at some point. And he’s raising a baby with his bipolar wife who disappears randomly. that’s the most I remember of him

Bridget fell in love with some cancer guy that Ray screwed over (he bounced him from the experimental treatment to get Abby in instead, or something). then I think Ray fixed the situation later and made up with Bridget at the end. don’t remember what happened to the guy. maybe he died or maybe they just broke up

Conner wanted to go to the military or something. he was probably only in 1-2 episodes
