I did, but I don't have much to say.

I keep wondering how its going to end but I think Shane's gotta die and I don't think Vic or Ronnie will.

I've been a big fan of the show from Season 1 onward, but honestly, this is disappointing.

This whole Mexican/Armenian mafia battle that Vic is trying to orchestrate is SO damned convoluted. The whole thing feels forced to the point I can't suspend disbelief during the show.

How a guy as "street-smart" as Vic would allow Aceveda to take Penzuela's "evidence box" is beyond me. Supposedly, that thing was his life-line. Also, Vic has consistently displayed certain moral ambiguities over the years. A more realistic line for him to play here would be: A. Keep the box to himself B. Use the box to blackmail himself out of trouble and save his job C. Put two in the chest and one in the head of Penzuela, and be done with it.

And the final scene in the interrigation room with Dutch and the boy-wonder serial killer was just weird. I kept thinking Dutch was going to hit on him. And why was Dutch hitting on the mom?

I'm hoping that by seasons end, we'll see: Vic in prison (he certainly belongs there, maybe a nice short sentence, though), Shane dead (maybe a redemptive death) Ronnie in the clear (Vic takes the fall) CCH Pounder turns into a rabbit (isn't that what lupus does to you?), Aceveda gets outed on his oral rape, ending his political career, and Dutch is doing regular 3-ways with Danny Sofer and Tina Hanlon.

And WTF ever happened to the "Julian is gay/Julian is married" story?

I agree with Cletus. I'm trying to give the show the benefit of the doubt, and while it has a lot of awesome scenes here and there, they just haven't done the characters justice. The Mexican/Armenian storyline is smothering the show, making it more plot-heavy than ever. And formerly complex characters like Julian, Wyms, Dutch, and Danny are just crumbling under its weight.

I do think it's interesting that the ICE lady is a rat for Pezuela.

I wish the shield would do the story line more like how X files used to go. There would be a few eps per season on the main storyline but there would be mostly stand alone episodes.

I haven't truly liked the show since after Cavanaugh/Shane storyline ended. Great scenes and I have so much residual respect for it that I'll continue to watch it to the end, but these past two seasons have largely been a dissapointment, especially after an absolutely spectacular season 4/5.

Agree with everyone above it's getting too complicated to the point where it can't at all face reality. Also anyone notice how the blacks/1-9ers have basically been non existant? I seriously doubt they'd be so quiet.

On the episode overall, Billings and Dutch were fantastic. Their storyline was absolutely the best. Danny, Julian, Tina, Dutch, and Claudette are getting shafted here, as well as Ronnie to a lesser extent. Claudette as captain and her on the street again has so much potential. And Julian was shafted in last season and this season -- he was an integral part of the initial seasons, then he suddenly gets both a more prominent role and less integral role at the same time. So strange.

Here's to hoping it gets back on track

i kinda liked the last show.

on the whole, mackey became boring to me a few seasons ago and i watched because the side characters were so interesting (julian and dutch specifically). thankfully dutch and billings are a team so this season has promise

i think a running theme on todays shows is how god damn hard it is to remain good for multiple seasons. maybe guys like ricky gervais are onto something.

Interesting last couple of posts. This season I've been kind of feeling like I just want to see how it ends. It seems like a couple of other guys are thinking the same thing.

Bad Shield is like bad sex, even when it's bad... blah, blah, blah... The Shield is by far one of the greatest TV shows of all-time IMO, and I am happy with this season especially since I have faith that Shawn Ryan will take care of us hardcore fans through the bitter or not-so-bitter end. I just look at the convoluted plot as being essential to the storyline because we are kinda going through what Mackey is going through. The clarity of his plans and actions are falling apart as things get to overwhelming... but we know it is all gonna end soon so our expectations are enormous. Temper your expectations IMO and enjoy the ride!

So Billings is trying all of sudden? WTF is that, he's so funny when he doesn't give a crap.

Also, for an Armenian crime lord Rezian seems like a total bitch.

I'm actually most interested in seeing what happens with Aceveda more than anyone else. His dynamic with Vic made the show int he first couple seasons, imo.

I don't know if it's the writing or the acting but the entire Armenian plotline is pretty horrid this season imo. Rezian goes from complete maniac toughguy in prison to giant pussy weakling now. The setup scene when the Armenians got busted and the following scenes with Rezian were LOLtastic.

That said, this last episode was much better and I do like the new twist with the ICE girl.

If Acevada doesn't get outed as a cocksmoker I'm gonna be very disappointed.

Also, more Tina sex scenes plz.

I really feel like I'm being done a diservice when somebody doesn't find a reason to have Tina dress like a slore. God I love her.

Agree with what PJ has said. The whole gang war thing is just a little goofy and forced. It just feels like this can't possibly be the best way for Vic to get the endgame he wants.

I do actually like what they're doing with Dutch and Billings.

Here's some theories I have about the future of the show (if you have any REAL knowledge of the next few episodes or the finale, please do not share them, this is for completely blind theories only!!!)

1. Aceveda is lying about the ICE girl being in the file. I think Aceveda is gonna make a run as villain number 1 for the end of the show. This would be a start to Mackey finding out how badly he's being played. The big questions will be, will the villain win and which is more of a villain between Aceveda and Mackey.

2. Mackey's daughter is gonna do something really bad... leak info, get kidnapped and sell out her dad, get with serial killer kid and go on a nationwide killing spree a la Natural Born Killers... she's been too much of a focus this season, so something crazy is gonna go down with her

3. I really think they want us to believe that Ronnie is gonna kill Shane, but I don't think it will go down that way... not sure what's in store there though.

Why does Vic still want to be a cop? Is it because he wants to do good at the end of the day? I don't remember if he still gets a pension if he walks away? Seems like it'ld be best if he just quit while he's ahead right now if his financial future isn't terrible. Making deals with the devils on all front just to keep his badge seems like a bad decision, but fun to watch.

Vic clearly still wants to do good. That's why he was unwilling to let the guns go to Chicago like Shane was. Vic just has no problem burning/exploiting/killing "bad guys" as he sees it to further his endgame. I do think that's something they have done a bad job of showing this season.

Agreed for the most part. I think this season is fine, only to come on to OOT and see all the nitpicking. Whatever. That's never how I watch my shows; I go along for the ride and let the show throw everything it has at me. If it's good enough to keep me enthralled in its world, then it deserves that much.

I thought it was great... loved the return of Kleavon... and the brief return of Dina... we got a break from the Mexican/Armenian stuff and really got to see more of how the triangle of trust between Shane, Vic, and Ronnie is on the verge of destruction in a bad way.

I'm still clueless as to how this is all gonna end, but it really seems that it's gonna be bad... the only question is for how many people?

Vic's daughter is clearly going to be in some deep **** by the time the show ends. Vic is going to pay for his sins most when his kid keeps going down this path. I also think Danny is going to somehow screw Vic over before the end of the show because of the Lee situation. Can't wait until next week, doubt Shane is actually going down in one episode though.

Yeah I agree with Patton. A great episode and a nice break from the Armos and Mexicans. I loved the interrogation scene with Claudette, and the way the kid looked at Dutch when he told his mom Dutch had just come "to say the investigation is closed." I also enjoyed the twist of Cassidy arranging the pimps n hos party.

Also am I a complete pig for enjoying the shot of that one hot Cuban girl lying naked on the mattress in that warehouse?

Joker, no, she looked hot as ****. I mean, you know she wasn't really raped, so basically it was just hot, naked and sweaty. 100% hawt.

I have no tolerance for Claudette's plotline. She bores me, and given that this is the last season, I can't really care about her long term stuff. There's something about that character, and the way she's played, I just find really really annoying.

<3 Dutch.

WHERE WAS TINA? **** YOU FOR NO TINA? Couldn't they have dolled her up and sent her out in a Civic to get raped? Sheesh.

Pretty solid ep, doesn't totally pull me the way previous seasons have, but solid.

Good episode. I alos enjoyed the break from the Armenians/ Mexicans.

A few nits:

1) I agree with Dids- what do we have to do to get some Tina action??

2) Billings has been pure gold all season, where was he?

3) No way in hell Vic ever lets Aceveda get the box in his sole custody. In fact, more than likely Mackey takes the box himself.

I don't see this season ending well for Vic, or really anyone for that matter. Shawn Ryan has always used the Shield as a thinly veiled Greek tragedy.

Can't wait to see how things turn out though.

I agree with all of this, except the Cassidy plot line. That seems really contrived and dumb.
