Great news, although not unexpected. This is easily the most underrated show in OOTV. I liked the second season even better than the first, mostly because of the faster (but not too fast) paced plot, and ofc not least because of Tom Hardy's GOAT performance - hopefully he'll get more air time in season three.

I'm only just finishing the first season but this show deserves way more love!
Occasionally when watching it, I get a small voice in the back of my head saying, 'This is a bit silly', but everything about the show is so good, and I'm enjoying it so much, I really don't care.
Really looking forward to Tom Hardy in S2 and very glad it's been renewed.
Pretty damn awesome; unfortunately it's short (2 seasons, 6 episodes each so far), but if you wanted to see a Jimmy Darmody type character doing some more Jimmy Darmody type things, this is a can't miss.
Do you english-native speakers understand everything they say with their thick accents? As a non native speaker I got quite the hard time and have to rewatch a lot.

Yea but I live reasonable close to where it is set. I know a lot of people who speak like that and unfortunately I have a similar twang in my voice.
This is a tricky comparison. I'm seeing many similarities. The main way it's better than BE is that it has had fewer boring subplots so far (although the mom/Michael thing is a bit tilting), and not one episode has felt like a filler episode where nothing interesting happens; so this is better paced in general. But everything else is pretty close, in a good way.

Tommy is much more of a badass than Jimmy Darmody.
Before we get carried away we should review Jimmy's CV
That's good to hear, I've still not got around to watching season 2 even though I loved season 1.
The Birmingham "Brummie" accent they have (although I've seen numerous criticisms of their attempts at it) has just been voted the least attractive accent in the UK.

Yep, just finished the two seasons this week. Really like the pacing of the show, both seasons build slowly and end on a really high note. Looking forward to season 3.
Peaky Blinkers was a decent attempt by the BBC to emulate some of the great dark dramas of recent times, like Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire and Sons Of Anarchy.
