Taco rice looked like something a food truck could make mad bank with in my area.

Maya Samuelsson is shatteringly good looking.

Good episode. But my gosh, that is a purty woman.

don't know what you guys are talking about. that was one of the better food-centric shows this season. and the waffle house bit was obv one part tongue in cheek, one part every drunken chef's love of greasy crap food.

Hey, I miss having a Waffle House near me. Greatest after-bar meal ever.

I'm just getting caught up with seasons 5 and 6. I've liked pretty much every ep so far. Especially Cuba and Charleston. I want to go eat everything on the show in Charleston. New Jersey was really cool too just for his personal perspective.

I was starting to get bored some in seasons 3 and 4. But I'm a lot more entertained by these.

I wish some sports channel would make basically this show featuring a different pro sports organization each episode. What I really think would work is soccer clubs

New season kicked off last Sunday. Manila around Christmas time.

Cool stuff about the proliferation of Filipino cover bands around the world and the propensity of people to leave the country for years at a time to work and send money home.

Interesting food as usual, but the one thing that caught my eye and was never explained was in one of the bars he went to see the bands.

A biker club whose members were obviously not Asian. I mean, a bunch of westerner biker dudes who looked like regs, and no explanation of who they were?

I kept thinking "Who are these guys? Why are they in Manila??"

Watching the Greek Islands episode. Bourdain is shredded for in his 50s. He got into Brazilian jiu jitsu a few years ago and seems obsessed with it now. Makes me want to give it a try.

Agree that Bourdain looks great since his transformation. Almost certainly on TRT, but still very commendable.

For anyone who enjoys Parts Unknown, I highly highly recommend Huang's World on the new Viceland channel (episodes should be available online as well). Probably targeted at a slightly younger audience, but I'm actually enjoying this more than Parts Unknown lately (this coming from a huge fan of everything Bourdain does).

Set up a season pass to record Huang's World, thanks for the tip. Anything else good on Vice? I don't really like the super depressing "look how ****ed everything is" documentary stuff they do. It just bums me out too much.

Yea, the twisted, bizarre, and depressing seems to be their forte. I haven't checked it out yet, but I've been meaning to check out their new show Vice World of Sports.

Btw, favorite episodes of Huang's World so far: Sicily and Borderlands.

Looks like Obama might be making an appearance on an upcoming episode.
