For the most part I liked this, but it didn't leave me feeling as satisfied as others eps have. I'll be happy when all of this election stuff is over. (I mean I won't, because end of the season is sad, but I'll be happy for next season and new plotlines).
Still hate Tom and Ann so much that the open just made me mad.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a good way to put this- but I feel like the budget stuff landed in a weird spot where it was normal enough that it forced me to take it seriously and think it was too unrealistic. That's a silly thing to think about this show, which is making no attempt to be realistic- but I think they would have been better served with something slightly more out there.
Ron and Chris was fantastic.
Tom saying "puppy" the way he did in the bit with Ron in an earlier ep was great- but I'd be super OK if I never had to hear a grown man use baby talk ever again. Here it just made me uncomfortable.
Ahhhhh. I missed this show. That was great. The long break probably made me like it more then it deserved, but that's fine.
Ron was outstanding throughout. I even liked Chris for the entire ep.
Poor, poor, Josh Lyman. Granted it's a guest spot on a great show, but is this all he can get anymore? Very short lived series and random spots on primetime?

I don't know that "all he can get" is really the right way to put it. He's had good roles, they've just been on show that didn't do well- but those shows were in theory somewhat big deals.
Great episode. I've watched through the whole series again in the last few weeks and this season has been really strong. Also, April is one of my favorite characters on rewatch.

Very true. I just wanna see another Josh'like role from him.

Character actors need to take the work that they can get. Whitford is doing fine for himself.
I liked this episode and it was a strong episode to comeback. I think Kathryn Hahn is great and I thought the cold open was amazing.
