It is telling just how far it slipped that no one is going to consider naming the Simpsons.
Curb needs to be in the top 5 and Frasier prob should be too. The Office and Fawlty Towers pretty much rounds out a top 5 with AD, not sure its mine without really considering it but with these groundbreaking shows of amazing and consistent quality its hard to not include all of them with an objective analysis.
Though im not sure how well Fawlty Towers travels across the pond it is the comedians comedy and is regularly listed when people make a hit show and name their influences (examples of Father Ted, The Office, 3rd Rock and Cheers amongst others all of which i would accept being in someones top 5, lol).
phil's got it right.
Frasier, Curb, Simpsons season 1-12ish are solid
Friends and That 70's show are an consistently funny as curb and frasier, but I enjoyed them.
if someone doesn't enjoy arrested development, that just tells me they aren't smart enough to enjoy it.
In lost news, Matthew Fox got nominated for an emmy for best actor.
