I realised midway through the last season that we weren't gonna get any explanations, but had invested so much time that I had to see how it ended.
yes, of course i would, i really enjoyed the show and it made me happy.

people who arent happy with the ending need to look at the bigger picture and realize how excited the show made them and entertaining the show was. (plus, its a freaking tv show, come on, its for entertainment, these characters arent real).

also, if i could go back in time, i wouldnt have spent tons of my allowance money on baseball and hockey cards. but they made me happy at the time. and i loved saving my money to buy packs or sometimes even a whole box. looking back on it, it was a waste of money, but the time and money i spent on them at the time was completely worth it, because i really enjoyed it.

Why did MIB turn into black smoke when he went into the light anyway?

Desmond went into the light and did not turn into any kind of "smoke". Yes we know he can survive electomagnetic pulse or whatever or that he is "special" I can understand that. So he goes into the light and looked like he was resisting the electromagnetic energy or whatever when he went to pull out the magic butt plug but yet once Jack replaced the magic butt plug he just sat there and laughed while the light fully replenished.

Shouldn't Jack have been exposed to the same kind of elements that Desmond was exposed to once the light came back? Or shouldnt he have turned into white smoke or something? I mean he did magically appear on the same group of rocks in the creek that MIB was laying on when Jacob found him dead after he turned into the black smoke.

I would pretend that it got cancelled after season 5. I think that would've been a pretty good ending, as long it weren't intentionally written to be an ending.

"He's special" is not an explanation (and BTW, they didn't even give us that, they just didn't address it at all).
Desmond becoming special by turning the key is mainly due to him being exposed to the "light" or the heart of the island, when he turns the key he is only consumed with one thing...his love for Penny and maybe saving everyone else while sacrificying himself. So one would think that maybe since the light or heart of the island seems to have some kind of connection to goodness/god/the afterlife/etc that his being special or surviving is somewhat a result of this

sorry it was too complex of a show for you to understand and use your imagination with.

Terrible mindless sitcoms would be better suited for you.

in all seriousness though, i would have liked lost x10000000 more if they ended it in season 5. i mean having the string of events in the series be a long con by smokey to get to jacob was A++++++ writing. then everything fell apart.

You're wrong. Maybe you didn't care about the characters, but me and a lot of other people did. I don't feel duped at all.
Sorry, I've lived long enough to know there are no opinions. There's good and bad, right and wrong. Everything is absolute.

This was terrible, awful, a waste of time, and an insult. They ignored Walt in the finale, which was about 33% of the story. I could list the other 42% they skipped, but you're probably so blurry eyed from the emotional "finally" that you couldn't process it. Enjoy this link and then try to tell me how it got all wrapped up in a nice little bundle.

why would Walt have been in the finale? makes no sense.
He had no real relationship with Jack.
Besides his dad who went psycho...he closest connection would have been Locke.

this honestly bothered me the most in the finale. Wasn't she crying cause sawyer didn't want to bang her like 5 weeks ago?

i will stick with shorter (as opposed to this) series that are 100x better than this crap that they have on HBO, Showtime etc.

lesson learned: don't follow drama series that are on major network channels.

Ps: lol at you for still thinking this was a complex show.....only reason i followed it because i thought it was complex , intriguing.....but the end obv proved it to be the exact opposite. this show could have easily ended after 3 seasons.

This whole season has been a slap in the face, to introduce a religious aspect, one with holes in it non the less is simply lazy and poor writting.

And people that are gona tell me the show has been about the ppl all along, I say wtf are you talking about. The only reason people tuned in to the show for past 5 seasons is because they were intrigued by the mysteries of the island, the unknown. The show was different then anything else that has ever been on the air. And to end the show with a cheesy ending, and to completely ignore questions that are crucial to the show is just silly. I wasn't disappointed with the finale as much as I was disappointed with the entire season.
