To sum it up,

The Island was real, everyone eventually died, and then they could all be together again in Heaven.

I'll take it.

Surprised there isn't a Last Supper picture with Lost Characters yet.

Michael and Walt weren't there because they left the island?

Pretty lame, I was hoping there was more to the light and the whole MIB vs Jacob. Instead Jack somehow kills mib, dies and the story ends with a happy ending, but defintatky feels like the writers took the easy/cheesy way out.

Not to mention the finale felt like a clip show

This is what really annoys me. My less anal-nerdy friends tell me to get over it and accept that its tv.

But its still hard...

Best part of this episode was the Target commercials.

This still doesn't explain why they needed to wait to go to Heaven (?) together, though.

Whatever. It's super ambiguous, and I hate ambiguous endings. Maybe Jimmy Kimmel will explain it to me...

why is the island sunk in purgatory?

The flash sideways world wasn't real. It was just designed as a tool for Jack to find his way to the pearly gates imo. Hence Locke telling Jack he doesn't have a son.

The island protector is still Hurley for however long he can manage. Could be 1,000 years for all we know.

It's a very interesting alt timeline and character conclusion. Basically a huge fail as expected wrt island mythology

Oh and to the idiot that called me an idiot or "stupid" or some other term for saying the "flash sideways" was actually a flash forward and was what happened after what we were seeing on the island can come eat crow now because I was right and you were wrong.

I assume they get around this by the point that time has no meaning in the purgatory-ish land.

it was all purgatory from the beginning

For those saying the people on that last plane escaped and lived out their lives, what about Richard Alpert? Some 300 year old dude was real? Cool story bro

Everyone eventually DIES, not died. Hurley, Ben, Desmond, Kate, Sawyer, Miles, and Lapidus were all alive when Jack dies and the show ends.

Eko? Ana Lucia? Cindy? The kids?

Kate was the only core character to escape the island twice. Wrap your head around that.

(Lapidus not being core, imo).

I really like Desmond's line to Eloise in this episode. She asks if Desmond is taking her son, too. Desmond responded, "No, not taking him with me" or whatever. Kind of a nice line looking back.

I enjoyed the finale, answering all the questions would have been cheesy.

The ending makes all the deaths seem insignificant now.

"I'm dead bro, but no worries we'll meet up in a church at the end of the show eerr our lives."

Jacks' dad said they built the church as a way to reunite themselves? Anything relevant from past episodes I'm not remembering?

Jack's dad explained it. No one can do it alone. He needs all of them just as they all need him. As it is in life, so it is in the afterlife.
