Just watched the new ep. The bit where he had the priest casting out the demon responsible for his small dick was amazing. The priest was so freaking uncomfortable. I really don't know how Nathan doesn't break. Does anyone know where I can watch old eps? I missed the last ep of season 1 where he hires a private investigator and heard it was pretty great.

This was the most excruciating episode for me yet. But still cracked up hard multiple times.

That was great, so many good bits. That Bill Gates impersonator had me in tears, he to be a set up, right?

Watching the audience's reaction to the farting video at the fake film festival is the hardest I've laughed in months.

It panned to the two old white guys and the Mexican couple looking unimpressed for a few seconds. The way he worded the correction on the judges film credits was so funny I literally died.

The awkward kissing scene filming, the windows 95 errors in the bill gates scene were A+, great episode

So each ep is like 30 mins, but it takes me 60 mins to get through them

This is so unwatchable it hurts (in the good way)

I usually got myself through this on The Office by pausing the video and reminding myself that it's all scripted and they're all actors, but I can't do it with this

edit: But I have to wonder if not some of this is staged... Like in episode 2, that jerk security guard, why would he sign a contract allowing them to show him?

"haha, we were filming a television show, your reaction was perfect! Do you mind if we use this footage?"

I think some of it is staged. Like the audience at the film festival minus the judge were prolly actors or people told how to act.

That episode was great. I cannot get enough of this show. Eagerly awaiting the Dumb Starbucks episode.

Yeah the security guard part struck me as the most staged part. I am constantly wondering what is real, what is semi-fake and what is completely fake.

That's what makes the show great imo. You know you're being decieved somewhere along the line but the execution of the pranks and gags are so good that it becomes really easy to suspend your disbelief.

That's what I meant when I said I thought the Bill Gates impersonator was a set up. I still found it hilarious nonetheless.

Thought it was a weak episode but still love the show. The big head stone for the fly was pretty funny but I wasn't feeling the last skit.

Yeah I thought this prob the worst ep of the series. I think they need to focus much more on the creative ideas they've come up with to attract customers as opposed to these intentionally awkward sketch reality segments which aren't necessary. I mean, the fake awards show was great because the way he described the law it was the only way to legitimize the film. It served a purpose. Everything to do with the fly outside of the burial didn't need to be shown and came off as trying too hard.

First season nailed the balance perfectly and right now they're playing against the strength of the show. Still worth watching, but way below the bar they set in season one.

Like, in place of the filler with the fly we could have had Nathan pretending to console others who lost their pet and then awkwardly and inappropriately changing the subject to where they should buy their next animal, and hey look if you mention the grave site you get an additional 15% off! I'd rather see them dig deeper into a bit than do spinoffs on parts of the skit that weren't necessary to drive the story forward. Less messy and better payoff in the end, imo.
