I'm only three episodes in and already accidentally spoilered myself on a major plot turn, that's the downside of everything getting released at once.

Just finished s2. Fun show to watch, hardly get excited for any shows nowadays.
It's this & GOT for me.

I think they regret pacing Season 1 so quick.
Probably never thought the series would be so popular.

Enjoyed it, didn't love it. In for S3 tho, LDO.

I agree the pacing in the first season was too fast, but they handled it better than I expected. No drop in quality this season, IMO.

Just started season 1. No idea why I never watched this since I was pretty excited about the story. I'm usually not a binge watcher, but I can see myself finishing this one quickly.

I would like to add that the guy who plays Murphy is still the worst. Terrible actor and he just felt out of place. I don't know how the guy was in real life, but it seems like they simply added a cheesy stereotypical American to make the show more attractive to the American audience.

I think the main point of the whole story is the ambiguity that you feel towards Escobar. At certain times you feel sympathetic towards him, while at the same time knowing he is a complete psychopath who doesn't deserve any sympathy. That ambiguity makes you question a lot of things. The show did a great job at displaying that.

Good posts, agree with both. Loved S2 too anyway.

I spoilered myself when I clicked on an article within the first sentence. It was about the S3+S4 renewal. That journalist deserves to be shot, I really don't see the need to do that a couple of days after a new season came out, when most people are not through yet.

Maybe early in season 1. In season 2 it seems pretty clear he's an evil murderous selfish POS.

For me perhaps from the point he ordered the Bogota bombing. Then the ridiculous rant against his father, refusing to surrender which put his wife and children in danger, etc.

Haha. The Spanish I picked up from this show won't do me any good unfortunately.

Long post by Escobar's son on how he hates 'Narcos', presumably. I can't really bother with the translation tool on there.

But even then, you can't help but feel for him and his family sometimes, I think. It was very well done in this regard. It reminded me of all the Nazi guys who came home after a day of gruesome crimes to play with their kids that they loved just as much as everyone else.

It's not like the producers claim accuracy for the whole thing. But it's gotta suck to watch so many hours with you and your family in the center of attention anyway, esp. when it's none of your fault.

Spoiler:
The kids don't seem to age in S2, or all over. He was 15/16 when his father was killed irl.
