Watching the first episode now. I love the pacing of it so far. Everything...the way it is filmed, the acting, the narration, all of it is fantastic.

Looks good, who ever directed this is def. a Scorsese-fan, getting the Goodfellas vibe. Ive seen two eps, first much stronger but will for sure continue with high expecatations.

won't say What episode I'm on to avoid spoiling but holy crap Pablo just gets more and more ruthless and heartless. Feels like I just watched a 1 hour video of kittens being strangled.

didn't wanna give a specific episode # where OR HOW it got REALLY dark.

Will never forget some Jerk off who ruined season 2 of House of Cards for me by making a similar content post to what what I did. He didn't say what the big spoiler was, but said EXACTLY when it happened, but it was so obvious by the situation at that time that it ruined what was supposed to be a major spoiler.

With my post as is, I hope I am telling people who may be interested in the show that yes it does get dark as ****, but w/o giving away any major plot points.

Liking the show overall 1.5 eps in, but the narration is a very lame rip off of Blow (as a fan of Blow). I don't mind even mind the narration per se, but the guy doesn't need to always talk like he's too cool for school. It's trite, patronizing and too obvious.

Lead DEA is weaksauce imo, but Pablo & the subject matter more than make up for it so far, would recommend.

Just finished ep1 myself, very very well done. In fact at one point I paused it to see how far along I was because I was so into it I felt like I had watched a 2 hour epic movie, I was only 50 minutes in. This is definitely going to be a solid show.

Through ep 3 but I am liking it. Agree on the narration, but the main character overall is pretty two dimensional. Pablo is clearly the true protagonist. And Pedro Pascal, true to form, manages to steal pretty much every scene he's in.

Is it me or are the dialogues volume way too low? I've never had to juggle this much with volume between gun fights and dialogue scenes.

So am I watching a "based on true events"-adaption on Escobar his story or just a fictional story that uses the Escobar name and timeframe to tell a cool story?

First episode was good. Loved the scene on the bridge.

the main liberty that I saw is that they sped up Pablo being shamed into resigning from the government. He did not get shamed immediately as portrayed.

I also think the narration part is somewhat necessary: the event portrayed did not happen in a fishbowl; it is important to understand the many different conflicting political interest from many countries as well as all of the parties within Columbia.
