I'm liking this season 2 so far, some bizarre **** right here. This Sam Esmail guy may be crazier that Elliot.

Pretty much this to a certain extent, lol. This season feels like you can only really put everything together at the end of it, you're as confused as Elliot is. I definitely get why the ratings dropped to the graveyard zone, it's way too niche for mainstream television.

finding myself hoping the episode is ending soon while watching the last two. probably not a good sign

The show is extremelly slow it feels pretentious and trying too hard. After 4 episodes I don't think anything interesting has happened. They got me with that first scene of the pilot tricking me into thinking it's a great show but I think I'm done with it.

I feel like I didn't sell this well enough to let people know they should watch. It's an 8-minute snippet of fake movie The Careful Massacre of the Bourgeoisie made by one of Mr. Robot's producers. NSFW.

You either love this show or hate it. There is no middle ground

I don't think that's exactly true. I'm in a middle ground. I can appreciate what he's doing, but I'm not sold. I certainly don't hate the show. I think for the vast amount of the audience what you said is true, but not all of it. You even see a bit of middle ground in the thread.

I am in the middle ground right now but I think the show is going to pick after last episode so I should move more towards the love it side like S1.

Did anyone else get a Raising Arizona vibe to his dream sequence?
(warning: Raising Arizona spoilers)

I love how they played a slowed down version on Green Day's Basket Case during it.

-the darlene conversation made me pretty sure Elliot is voluntarily committed.

-i cant rectify the fact that he hasnt been prescribed any drugs since season 1.

possibly as the reason elliot committed himself. something he believed to be true turns out false.

like if my pet theory comes true that Shayla is the one who knocks.

As an "obvious" clue, in the first episode of the season, Elliot mentioned his "totem" (his routine). He clearly has markers to help him figure out what's real and what isn't (I think he prefers to live in the fake), but then the Craig Robinson character came in and blew all that to shreds for him. So, now he has no idea what's real and what's not, much like how the audience is supposed to feel (even though we know the Robinson character is real in some way).

If Shayla knocked, then it really makes season 1 play poorly. It would essentially mean that none of it probably happened, which is just bad TV. I doubt it would go that way, even though he's throwing all basic TV conventions (meaning stuff that doesn't piss off the audience) off the roof intentionally.

I dont think that is necessarily what he means by the word "totem"

I read it exactly as the way it was used in Inception. Could be wrong, but not sure what other meaning you're thinking.

Amazing episode, just what was needed after going fully over the top meta in the past couple of episodes, I reckon.

Certainly some plot movement this week.

What continues to baffle me is that as concerned as Darlene is with covering their tracks with the FBI, her group is still occupying the home of the E Corp lawyer. Do they just not expect her to ever return to her multi million dollar home?

Perhaps I can persuade people to come back by pointing out how incredible hot Carly Chaikin looked in this episode.

She did look pretty good this week. Tight battle with Angela for the 2nd spot behind Mrs. Wellick and ahead of 4. Dom

Also tight battle between Darlene and Angela for who has the biggest eyes.

I'm still watching. I just can't watch it the night it airs and have to watch it on demand a day or two later.

Overall solid episode although I'm beginning to feel like Elliot's story arc is just a side story and the main story now if with the FBI and Darlene/Angela. That's ok I guess but they have kinda relegated Elliot to a supporting character. Maybe it will all tie together or this will wrap up quickly but it doesn't look like it.

One interesting plot point is that we saw the FBI looking at photos of people that attended the fscociety end of the world party. They showed DJ Mobley as one of the people. Seems like it would be very easy for him to become a big suspect. Works for E Corp in IT and was at this party.

Wellick is hot, but she has had so much work done on her face that it's distracting.
