Go back and watch as if Elliot is Tyrell. She talks about how her husband has been acting weird and not being himself. Near the end of the conversation she speaks to him in Danish and Elliot says he doesn't understand and she kinda lifts an eyebrow like she expected him to understand.

Why would she speak to him in Danish expecting him to understand unless he is Tyrell too?

I know that makes no sense though from all the other scenes we have seen with Tyrell etc but maybe Elliot has many personalities. Who the **** knows at this point.

Also

Tyrells Wife > Angela > Darlene

This shouldn't be up for debate.
But then why would she ask him, "Can I help you?" when she sees him at the door instead of, "Tyrell, where the fuq have you been?"

I thought the season finale was really disappointing, all the way down to the unnecessary brain blowing out on live TV. It seems pretty clear the finale was added to the real ending (of the movie version), and they just left a bunch of threads open to explore however they want to go next season.

I thought the shot of Elliot choking himself was A+.

To me, and maybe I have this wrong, the real problem is that everyone is now poor. They got rid of the credit card debt and I guess other debt, but it sure appears no one has access to anything other than hard cash, since I doubt banks would let anyone withdraw money. Way to play into all the crazy psychos' dreams of armageddon and putting money in mattresses, Sam.

This initially made no sense as the scene was unfolding, but it turns out Elliot blew it by taking his dog to the vet under his real name. Elliot has no presence anywhere, but he has a name and they just need to find him. With the Estonia thing happening, it now meant that they'd be able to trace back the connection to him. Of course, ain't no one gonna give a sh** about what happened to this guy after what happened. It actually made Elliot more anonymous, not less. That cheater is essentially the Chandra Levy of pre-9/11. He was interesting yesterday, but not today.

So basically I guess fsociety is secretly a pawn of the Dark Army, and this whole thing has something to do with mines in the Congo? Or maybe even a level deeper?
I'm fairly sure the Wong character already has the decryption key. So, E Corp will let people riot, and then come in and save the day when everyone is at their darkest...with a lot of interest, of course.

Good luck with that. The show is so fractured between what's real and what isn't, it's actually hard to believe there haven't been numerous mistakes made already that undermine what's really going on. I can't imagine 3 years of waiting to find out what's going on. I'll give an "interesting" idea in response to someone else, but it doesn't work because of a scene I mentioned above.

Yeah, I don't think there was anything connecting him to fsociety in that conversation. It was just that his dog was chipped, and Elliot took the dog in under his real name. All he has is a name, and conjecture about what he's likely done. He has no evidence of anything, and even the fall of Estonia won't help him with what's going on in the big picture right now. It's just kind of a funny joke the show had.

Go back and watch the scene at the computer store. White Rose explains how he manages time. It was actually interesting that he realizes there's no point to his timing system anymore. There's nothing for him to do at this point. He likely has the decryption key.

I got distracted from making this post, earlier and am distracted now, but that was the vibe I got from the scene, as well.

If you remove the scene with the secretary of Tyrell and Elliot, I think you could make a very strong case that Tyrell is really the "guy", and everyone is a figment of his imagination. Play the scene with Tyrell's wife and Elliot as if it's really Tyrell talking to her. It would make that scene play A+. But, the secretary scene means that Tyrell has to be real, or EVERYTHING is fake. That's a massive slippery slope they really don't want to start going down.

And again, we had a mention of Elliot being "God". Mr. Robot said "I'm supposed to be the prophet, you're supposed to be God." (or whatever the exact quote was) In an earlier episode, Tyrell said he needed to go see "God". In the actual context of the scene with him and Mr. Robot in the car, if that had appeared after Tyrell said that, it would give big credence to everything being inside Elliot's head, but they didn't order it that way. So again, there's zero anchor in this show, other than that we know we're seeing Elliot have massive delusions. In other words, there is still nothing in the show that makes any sense...yet.

Because the knocking on the door would have been weird. Also, she had kicked him out (if we take logical steps from the hospital scene), so it would have been weird regardless. Picking at him saying that Tyrell had been acting strange plays that out. Of course, that's not what's really going on, because there are other scenes that make that not possible.

I definitely got the Elliot could be Tyrell vibe, but I'm thinking it's more along the lines of Mrs. Tyrell (does she have a name?) knowing Elliot from his connection with Tyrell and Elliot not remembering her because he's nuts.

I watched the episode again. Some random observations:

Towards the end, when Elliot is taking instructions from Mr. Robot and he is sitting on the train, the woman next to him has a parrot on her shoulder. That seemed to be a very "dreamlike" event. How much of that episode was real and how much was a delusion?

Was Tyrell's wife speaking Danish to Elliot or some other language? Her eyes looked very similar to the eyes in the fSociety video.

Did Elliot film himself falling off the railing? What was the significance of the hidden video clip?

When you watch the opening scene again that cheating guy is so pathetic its actually funny.

Do Angela's questions to the E Corp CEO get answered? She seems to be giddy with his power.

Crowds had a V for Vendetta/Occupy Wall Street vibe. What is next after you actually start a revolution? Who wins? Who loses?

I feel like Angela has kinda been alternating between "wishy washy ultimately powerless typical female lead" and... actually a good character. This scene started out as the former, but definitely ended up as the latter.

Kinda disagree, not every episode can blow your mind. Pushed the story forward in a way that was consistent with what we've seen while leaving a lot of questions on the table, I don't think you can get much more (for a show that's already promised to have multiple seasons... if this were a 10ep serial ala TD that would be an aids finale, but the story goes on, so all is well imo).

Was gonna post that NSFW gallery of Tyrell's wife (honestly she's too made up and too preggers in the show but it's pretty easy to tell she's a smoke IRL) but someone beat me to it... for me it's her > Angela > dead girlfriend > Darlene (although I kinda love Darlene, would/would).

The entire episode the implication is that Elliot murdered Tyrell with the popcorn case gun, but then for whatever reason the door knocking scene I got the idea that Tyrell was who was knocking. So maybe Tyrell was who executed the scheme. We know that Tyrell and "Mr. Robot" were working together.

The music supervision in general on this show is as high level as I can remember on TV (as a mixer it would be a dream to work with). It might not get any Emmy notice, but it will certainly be nominated for MPSE awards.

The show is mixed by one of the best TV mixers in the business. It's not as good as his other stuff, because the dialog elements aren't as good, but the overall mix is really great for TV (even with the bad sounding dialog that's been compromised by the visuals). Even though I know the mix could have been better with better production choices, it has an absolutely outstanding feel every episode.

Having not checked weren't there several scenes with Tyrell and people that work with Elliott (e.g. - his boss), which would make them being the same person pretty hard to believe.

Also I think Tyrell might be dead. They showed the gun in the intro, which seems weird in isolation if it wasn't used.

The trick performed in the "Boardwalk Fail" video is called an Ollie. All the letters in OLLIE are also present in ELLIOT, except for T. There's no T. Tyrell's name starts with T. This episode had no Tyrell. Illuminati confirmed (literally, in the post-credits scene).

I mean I also got the Elliot=Tyrell vibe mentioned in the last posts, with another indicator being them bumping together randomly in Steel Mountain. But I can't see how this could possibly work.

Elliot would have to alter his physical appearance significantly (e.g. because Tyrell's assistant, Gideon, and also the fsociety guys know Tyrell). Also in ep6 Elliot is fully occupied with the Vera/Shayla situation, while we see Tyrell bumping heads with the new CTO. And working two jobs at Evil-Corp and Allsafe + the fsociety activities? It doesn't add up.

Let's just say that the way they presented the finale means they're going to be doing a lot of puzzle solving in the writer's room between seasons, and that they opened as many potential threads as they could to create new stuff. If they can find a way to still have everything make sense, great. But there's no way this thing is getting a third season if they're still trying to make reality as ambiguous as it was done this season next season. Most audiences quickly tune out from that kind of stuff over the long haul.

I mean, as Fly said, can they have dropped Shayla and her drug dealer guy any quicker? The show puts so much in front of us that you really don't have a lot of time to go back and think about all the stuff that was dropped or really doesn't make much sense. Again, without anchors, that stuff still "works". That's a strength and a weakness for the show, but they have to get out of that mindset quickly next season.

I mean, I guess Lost slowly lost viewers over its 6-year run, but it did survive 6 seasons, and I think losing viewers is typical for all tv shows.

Tyrell = Eliot sounds like reaching it. Most of the season wouldn't make sense if that was the case.

I think it's a lot more likely that Mr Robot just killed him which would seem like too obvious of an explanation, making people doubt it until reveal.

As for who was under that mask, someone posted toned down version of the recording on reddit and
Spoiler:
it sounds like Eliot

If Joanna Wellick thinks Elliot did something to Tyrell, she's going to try to kill him.

Does the CEO, Price, think Tyrell's responsible? What if Mr. Robot did something to make Price think Tyrell's behind the hack, Price kills Tyrell, then Joanna goes after Elliot.

The episode had a version of the song used in the opening of Eyes Wide Shut; and the song in the coda was in Titanic's sinking scene.
