This show is reaching "elite for being season 1" status. Such a strong episode.

This show is so good. This episode tonight was especially strong. Definitely haven't gotten this engrossed with a season on TV in a long time.

The Darlene is his sister twist I didn't expect. The Mr. Robot is his alter ego everyone knew, but I didn't think it was his manifestation of his father, especially considering we think his father was meek and obedient. Maybe Elliot made all that up because his dad was actually an anarchist badass. Also possible that his father is actually still alive and all that cancer stuff was hallucinated.

Also, did Tyrell's wife abort her own baby with a fork or did she just break the water to induce labor? Either way, that was badass.

Liked this past episode, 2nd best episode behind Episode 6 for me. Also liking the Memento elements of amnesia and leaving physical objects for future him to remind himself of who he was.

Also, if Mr. Robot is Elliot's father and Darlene is his sister, maybe the black guy is his social worker and the fat guy is his best friend, all of whose identities he has forgotten.

+1 to not knowing what is going on.

Tbh immediately following the kiss I thought Darlene was actually going to be Angela..although I was having trouble reconciling the 'I love you' and then being repulsed, as opposed to say shocked or offended, when Eliot went for the kill. Much of the reason I thought it was Angela is based on my confusion/shock/wtfness when Darlene showed up to ballet class with Angela....but her being revealed as Eliot's sister makes way more sense and explains why they would know each other, take ballet together, etc.

I am excite!

In a previous episode, Darlene is crashing at Elliot's apartment and Elliot freaks because he wants to know how she knows where he lives and she laughs. The attention to detail in this Show is amazing.

It's hard to believe how great this show turned out to be. After pilot it felt like it's gonna be Dexter with hackers, but now it's way past the level at which any season of Dexter ever was!

This guy ****S!

Proof Elliot's dad is still alive and well is in this photo

Ps3 controller (maybe ps2 but I don't think they had wireless like that). Regardless, Ps2 came out in 2000, ecorp accident happened in 1993.

He didnt die in the accident though did he? I thought he developed cancer from it and kept it a secret for years till elliot told his mum. Which is when he stopped talking to him.

Oh yeah, so I guess that's the more likely answer. Lot of details in the show it's def gonna be good to rewatch this season once it's over

End of episode 2, scene on the docks

his dad literally asks him "how did your dad die?"

elliot tells the leukemia story
dad works at evil corp all his life
one of the best engineers they have
one day he is fired
nobody knows why
eventually he confesses to elliot that he had leukemia
his dad told him not to tell his mom
he got sicker and sicker and he got worried so he told his mom
his dad got pissed and they got into a fight and pushed elliot out of the window, elliot broke his arm from the fall
they never spoke again after that, his dad couldn't even look at him
elliott asks his dad "we good?"
his dad asks "do you ever think he was right to push you out of the window? that you deserved it?"
elliot says "i didnt do anything
dad says "you betrayed his trust"
elliot says "i was 8 years o..." dad pushes him off
dad says "you didn't follow the secret pact we formed"

This makes this scene really cool in hindsight, he disappointed his dad again so he is pushed off again.

I really want his dad to be alive but I'm certain if you would rewatch right now it would make no sense that he was alive if you watch the scenes involving Darlene, Elliot and Mr. Robot.

Unless Mr. Robot his identity is secret to everyone but Darlene and Elliot (and Tyrell apparantly) because of his past involvement with Evil Corp which has given him some sort of power over the company we don't yet know about?

Mr robot shows up at Elliott's work. Wouldn't he have risked Angela recognizing him if he was real. How did tyrell meet with mr robot then? Or was he just doing another meet up with elliott? The conversation didn't seem like it was meant for Elliott though.

Seeing how unreliable narrator Eliott is, nothing's stopping Mr Robot from being both real and imagined.

I feel like I am definitely going to have to rewatch this show after the season ends. I imagine everything will be completely different knowing all these twists, and whatever they reveal in the final two episodes.

i was pretty sure mr robot was elliott with his dads image but damn i didnt know wtf was going on with darlene.

Also yeah that playstation photo is weird. Maybe he's just not dead and he blocked the memory of his father, living along with his sister and probably more ****.

yeah except angela has mentioned that elliot's father is dead (at the dinner with gideon). so if robot is alive he faked his own death. but if he fakes his own death then why is he casually walking into allsafe?

Maybe Mr Robot is Elliot's Uncle or Stepfather. Tyrell also said he knows his secret whatever that may be.
