i mean they obviously have their story layed out and going through it "backwards", theres zero chance theres no explanation like Lost and its all bad last minute made up stuff.

Now, there might be big plotholes but ehh.

It dawned on my last night that Angela's interview was basically the Replicant interview from Bladerunner.

Does that mean that Angela is a Replicant or that there might be Replicants and White Rose needed to make sure she wasn't or...who the **** knows.

I'm sure that the brown outs on the east coast are caused by the Washington Township plant using all the power for some sort of experiments.

Maybe the big reveal is:

Yeah that interview was odd... wasn't it mentioned before that the writer said in an interview that they would go borderline sci-fi?

Something with AI might be the most likely, it could somewhat explain 80s computer equipment usage, e.g. as a countermeasure, and it would fit to the theme of the show. Also what's the story with Dom and her phone?

Maybe clones, or mind-control? Those Dark Army hitmen off themselves too lightly imo. Battlestar Galactica-style resurrection? Whatever White Rose's project is, Angela seems to be on board, so I wouldn't expect it to be something sinister; at least not too much so.

Probably horrible would be some augmented reality stuff folding in with Elliot's hallucinations. Aliens seem out of the question, however the way the Wellick's acting sometimes I wouldn't rule it out a 100%.

Imo, great artistic episode in the David Lynch style with a hints from the Kubrick's Bladerunner movie (nice, Esad, one of my favorite movies).

You guys might be on to it. "Your mother and [Elliot’s] father gave their lives to take humanity to the next level”. It could be the next level is the Singularity, where "technological advances will irreversibly transform people as they augment their minds and bodies with genetic alterations, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence". The latest Tyrell might be partially or completely android. Maybe the latest Angela too (hope not). Maybe some characters are not really human. Whiterose: “I suppose that depends on what your definition of real is.”

FBI Dom's fascinating scene containing the interactions with the Alexa device also points to the theme of humans and AI machines blending together

Btw , quote from the novel Lolita : “And she was mine, she was mine, the key was in my fist, my fist was in my pocket, she was mine.”

Should be a fantastic finale.

If it is all too much to grasp: "mind awake... body asleep".

This episode gave me a Lost-vibe and I did not really like it tbh.

I think you guys are thinking way too far with WR's suggestion though (maybe I'm getting trolled). I think she meant something more simple like "your parents their dead resulted in you and Elliott becoming who you are today and getting to this point, and you will be the key factor that helps me succeed my plan now".

And the girl and questions were WR just FPSing the **** out of everything like she has always done. It was just some weird ass test to see if Angela could be trusted.

A pretty far "out there"-theory but this actually sounds kind of plausible.

This is 100% correct. You can tell this is exactly what will happen because USA made them split the last episode into 2 weeks. My thinking is the e Corp building explosion would be a trigger since it was so close to 9/11

Another great episode. I must have missed the Colby sighting, when and where was it?

White Rose telling Angela that her mother and Elliot's father died for the greater good IMO was because Elliot is the reason for what is going on now, his plan was Phase 2. If his dad didn't die by E-Corp he wouldn't have created F-Society etc.

I don't think Dom and Alexa scenes are nothing more then her being lonely.

I hope they don't go some Blade Runner direction, I think it would be absurd.

It was on Elliots way to the cab. He was in some outdoor market and Colby walked behind him and out of the shot. If you weren't paying attention you would've missed it. Why? No clue.

There's absolutely no way they can answer all the crazy questions in 1 hour of TV. My guess is that there is more hints towards some sci-fi elements, ecorp building blows up, and we learn more about whatever ridiculous sci-fi twist there is next season. At this point it seems impossible for there to not be some sort of sci-fi twist given all the hints they have been dropping.

this is a great show, but I beg USA to cut it off when Sam Esmail is out of ideas. This show could turn into True Detectuve .... Maybe me robot would have been better suited as a mini series, but USA will run it out too far and ruin it

The show is supposed to be one long story with a clear (lol?) ending. Esmail doesn't need new ideas for another season, he needs to execute what he already has in mind.

The only way Sci-fi will work is if Elliot thinks people are replicants and freaks out to the point of suicide.

what an epic episode. Gotta say that if i wasnt under any influence i would probably also not have much idea what was going on though.. ..but luckily for me everything started to reveal itself

also felt a bit dissapointed with Angela and Elliot being a bit slow and letting their minds freeze them out

True Detective Season 2 levels raised to "a ****ing 5 minute long product placement scene inside a ****ing dream sequence are you ****ting me"

They are gonna have to bring it home in the finale big time this season has been hit or miss with way more misses than hits.

But Malek gets a well deserved Emmy, he's the machine that drives this whole show. It worked in season 1, and no matter how bad S2 is they can't take away how great the middle of that run was.

"Please tell me you're seeing this too!" Rami Malek deserves that Emmy. His character, Elliot Alderson, is spellbinding.

Even though ratings aren't great it does really well in the 18-30 demo which USA loves.

I think it was renewed about 3 episodes into S2.

You might want to avoid talking about ratings in the future.
