GoT was way more connected than this. While the storylines weren't connected in the immediate sense, they still had the same overarching goal: control of the Iron Throne, while showing the real looming threat above the Wall for whoever emerges victorious.
We haven't got that yet here. The only connection between Elliott and Tyrell is a chance encounter at All Safe, followed by that job offer, and then finally the chance encounter at Steel Mountain. Right now, their goals aren't aligned or in conflict. Tyrell wants to climb the corporate ladder, Elliott/fsociety doesn't care who happens to be in charge of Evil Corp, he's just another worker bee for the corporation as far as they're concerned. Their goals are bigger than any one executive. If Tyrell is CTO, great. If the other guy is CTO, also great. Beating up the homeless/killing the wife, all that psychopath stuff is completely disconnected at the moment.
The Vera stuff also seems separate at the moment, a distraction. It's obvious a big thing for Elliott's state of mind, but there's close to zero crossover between it and fsociety besides Darlene helping out a little.
The one plot line that does seem likely to converge is Angela's. If she testifies to the improper chain of custody on that file, that puts her in direct conflict with Elliott and fsociety since they doctored the file to implicate Colby.
