found it odd that the creator is going out with fiona, and the darlene character looks a lot like her, to me at least. i figured maybe they were related or sth but can't find any evidence of that.

Yea this is the only show on TV that I am watching, and I've been onboard since I heard about it after the premiere.

I was pretty shocked at that scene, and honestly I still am. This show rocks.

Tryell is power hungry weakling that gets bossed around by his waifu. That scene was a mistake showing his weakness but they'll probably manage to spin it their way by putting the blame on CTO.

Don't go too crazy it might be filmed in another city. Suits for instance is supposed to be in NYC and is filmed in Toronto. A lot of the stores and restaurants they show are sure enough in Toronto.

i understand that that particular exterior was probably filmed elsewhere, but i'm still curious to know where it actually is.

Slater needs to get on the road and promote this show. Most people are not aware of it. A Stern show appearance would definitely put it more on the radar.

Don't know about Hurst Library, but I sure hope Dumpling Town is a real place.

Wow, I don't think they look alike at all, beyond both being brunette white girls. Darlene does resemble Layla on Nashville to me.

No idea where this show is going but still on board.

Best thing on TV right now.

If you think this is the best thing on TV you're not watching rectify on Sundance. I think people who love this show will also love rectify.

Cool episode but having Tyrell kill the wife seems very drastic. I hope they found a great follow-up to it, it would be sad if the feud between Tyrell and CTO is concluded fast.

This show is Breaking Bad-level in terms of music and cinematography, btw.

BTW, since nobody mentioned it. "Tyrell" is a Blade Runner reference. Dr. Eldon Tyrell runs the Tyrell Corporation and invented replicants (robots).

I'm sticking by my belief that the Elliot character and the Mr. Robot character represent two different personalities inside Elliot. But I'm getting a little less sure.

I think they are having him become more real(and letting him have scenes where "he" does stuff, has conversations, etc.) as his character takes over and Elliot spirals more into madness.

Though I guess it's possible he was real the whole time and the creators shot the show the way they did just to **** with the audience. Which normally I'd hate, but come on. That audio cue for Two Weeks? Get out of here, that was bananas, I forgive this show anything dumb it does.

According to the internet Mr Robot is actually filmed in NYC, which is insane for basic cable. Psych, for example, had Vancouver being the most unconvincing Santa Barbara I've ever seen.

Though I guess they opened the checkbook up and filmed Burn Notice in Miami.

Especially because Toronto can be a reasonably convincing NYC for 99% of viewers

I thought Tyrell would've manned up and tossed the wife off of the roof so it might look like she jumped. But he panicked.

Elliott and Mr. Robot are definitely two personalities of the same person.

Surprised no one mentioned the psychologist scene...that was really good.

I live 25 minutes from Hurst, Texas and they don't have a library that looks like that. Where this building is I have no clue.

I was thinking it sucked for her to have a full day of appointments after that.

So there were like two really good scenes in an otherwise pretty crappy episode, and everyone's like wow amazing? You could call one other scene good too, but it was written more for pure shock value. In case you don't know which two scenes I'm talking about, I mean the Tyrell meltdown and the psychologist scene. The psychologist scene was probably the best scene the show's had so far, in my opinion. Oh, the scene with his boss was actually really effective too. But most of the scenes were more like why is this here?

Since I knew the guy who created this show, you cannot even comprehend how creepy this show is. It makes so much of the guy make sense now. This show is just an insanely impressive effort for him, since he never appeared to put in any effort when I knew him.

I don't get how anyone can say Mr. Robot isn't real now. You can't completely fracture the two storylines and say "oh that's going on inside Elliott's head". I'm just willing to accept that they were either effing with the audience all along, or USA told them to cut it out and turn it real. Because of what the creator of the show is like, I guarantee you he can be effing with the audience. So, I'm not sure that gives anyone comfort.
