I checked both scene and first one dev wear an obvious pink shirt while the end one look darker to me.
She wear a white shirt in the first and black in the 2nd one

From articles have read about the season the actress that plays Francesca seems to think that she left Pino for Dev, but I haven't heard anything from Aziz himself about it.

Holy hell. Finishing up the dating episode:

Spoiler:
the mammy condom jar had me laughing harder than anything I've seen since GOB explained hookers.

Spoiler:
In the final shot, she's wearing some jewelry on her right hand but not the distinctive engagement ring that they focused on in one of the earlier episodes. If that was intentional, then the scene suggests she left Pino. The look on her face implies that she's not sure she did the right thing, which would be a good set up for a third season (either they show them struggling as a couple, or they show Dev in the aftermath of a failed relationship with Francesca).

sounds good....I just like that they left it a little ambiguous.

The show is very good narratively. They make great choices on what to show and what not to show.

Dom please quit starting your posts with "Okay,"

Loved the Thanksgiving episode. The parts where he was yelling to the grandma were hilarious.

man, the tinder episode was probably the most accurate depiction of the modern, urban online dating scene I've seen, just really well done

def like this show overall but there is a lot of distractingly bad acting in it, mostly by the non-Aziz Indian cast.

Just finished the series.
Italian lead is amazing.

Like the idea that the final scene is an homage to the "The Graduate"

This is fairly OT, but whatever.

I was reading Aziz' old blog and came across this. I'm sure many know about how Harris Wittels (one of the Parks&Rec writers) was supposed to write Master of None with Anzari and Yang, but he died unexpectedly just before it was supposed to happen. The link is basically just Aziz talking about his deceased friend, but there's some insight into different projects they were working on and you can get a pretty good idea on how different Master of None might have been (for the better or worse) had Wittels been on board.

The sexual harassment email to NBC execs is so funny that the read is worth it just for that, imo. There's some talk about Master of None towards the end, although it's just an "unnamed project" at that point.

For perspective: I thought MoN S1 was just aight, I don't like Aziz as a comic or an actor, and so much of the acting in S2's first episode was cringeworthy that I almost gave up on the show (only Francesca kept me around.)

But Master of None season 2 is a masterpiece of storytelling. Unlike everyone else in this thread I loved ep 6. By episode 3 I was thinking "this is like Girls but not as good." After the Thanksgiving episode I thought it was even better. In fact, "Girls, for guys" might be a good way to describe this show.

And the directing... Bravo, Aziz.

Guess it's an unpopular opinion after browsing through this thread, but I thought s2 was good yet ultimately fell short of great. The Francesca storyline never really worked for me- found it uninteresting and kind of hard to buy and ergo made the last couple of episodes a chore to watch. Also kind of tilted me that in some ways the show is hyper-realistic to an extent I think is awesome, but then it presents other things in the same manner that are far from realistic, although I'm struggling to think of examples (mostly quite little things).

Probably a really dumb question from a guy who streamed eps out here in Central Europe. When you watch the show (legally) on Netflix, is it safe to assume that most/all the Italian is subtitled? Because there were no subtitles on the eps I watched. Second (related) question: was the sign language ep subtitled? Finally, assuming there were subtitles, what is the last exchange between her and Pino? Thanks.

Despite whatever I missed, I agree this was a terrific season. I loved the directing and the self-consciously "filmic" aspects and references it went for.

Yes the Italian was subtitled.

The sign language part was genius. It was NOT subtitled if the person she was dealing with did not know sign language (the guy at the store complimenting her and the security guard), but was subtitled when the other person did know sign language (her friend, her boyfriend, and the woman at the store that confronts them about their "public" conversation).

I think the last line was Pino asking "Are you ready?"

I can't think of a show that exemplifies the emasculation of the American male better than this.

And Aziz has a tendency to cater to SJWs and find offense in the simplest of things.

And him going after his buddy's girlfriend is pretty ****ty.

Overall the show is alright, but I find myself cringing a lot. Would have been more interesting if he had stayed in Italy the whole season.

Finally watched this and was really impressed. Feels similar to the jump Louie took when he felt comfortable experimenting with his storytelling. Aziz is the curry person Louie to me now, where I'm excited to go anywhere they want to take me.

I, too, have now finished s2. Dating episode was my favorite, overall liked the season more than 1st one, although I could have done without ep9.

Just finished s2. Thought it was a significant step up from s1 which I only kinda liked.

Agree with the takes that the first half was better then the second half. Episode 9 did not need to be one hour. Dinner Party episode was one of my favorite episodes of television in recent memory. Couldn't finish the Thanksgiving ep, hated it.

Didn't read too much until the ending, just meant to be open-ended.

There were a lot of rumors and talk about how S3 was likely not gonna happen. I'd say now it's certain.

That's not how twitter is reacting eddy...

And in the end that's all that matters to Netflix. Also there's no hope of these things going logically now. Some scumbags will pay, but no doubt some other dudes will too. Tough to say what happens to Aziz. But I'm not expecting Netflix to be too kind.

I'm sure Dan Harmon story was much worse and I doubt we ll see any backlash.
Now how Netflix will react depends on a lot of factors if season 3 is in 2 years they shouldn't care at all
