Aziz's dad is definitely the MVP of this season. He doesn't have many scenes, but every single one of them is pure gold.

Thought it was just as good as season 1. Really enjoyed the Tinder and Thanksgiving(probably the best one) eps. Regarding the second to last ep:

Spoiler:
I thought they were going the pregnancy route when Fracesca was not drinking and acting tired. Really glad they didn't.

Binge watched till 4 am. Was elite again. Ansari has chemistry with anyone and make it work so well despite being a terrible actor

first half of this season was fantastic, 2nd half not as much. need more of Dev's dad. Albert is great too

I can't think of a show I thoroughly enjoy more than Master of None. First season was spectacular to me, this season might have surpassed.

Really liked the first two episodes. Arnold felt different than S1, though I haven't watched it since it was initially released.

Episode 5 was well executed in the sense that I was totally crushing on that woman too.

Episode 6 was legit great.

Same here - the long shot of the Uber ride home was a great finish to the episode. Complete aside - thought the song from that scene was a David Gray song for the past 20 years (which apparently was written in 1981)

Only had to to watch eps 1-2 so far. Great stuff. Really makes me want to ditch everything and move to Italy for three months to make pasta and drink espresso. I haven't read anything about how they came up with the Italy thing, but I got the vibe that Anzari really loves Italy and maybe has had a similar experience there irl as pictured in the show. It sure is a great country and it was shot to perfection in the two episodes.

The melon line was amazing.

PS I'd strongly recommend Anzari's book, "Modern Romance". It's approximately 300 times better than you'd expect. Bond recommended it to me and I found it super interesting and a great read in general. It goes really well along with the show as well and you can tell how one affected the other.

modena episodes were both great. my cousin lived there for about 18 months for work (not pasta work related). he did however do pretty much every good restaurant in the city, including Osteria Francescana. I visited him for about 36 hours when travelling last year, we crushed a lot of amazing food in that time, particularly liking Antica Moka (a typical cooked by Grandmother restaurant)

I would def advise to at least visit and see what you think, then stay once you realize its about perfect

Just bingewatched this whole thing over a session of poker, coz I loved season one *spoilers ahead*.

Seems I'm the only one, but I thought this was really lackluster. I loved the first episode (but... what was the point? Kept expecting that woman to show up later). Felt the wedding ep was really cheap and not great humor at times, and this became kind of a theme throughout a whole bunch of episodes, until the last two (the only one I really liked until then was the dinner party, which I thought was well executed). Also, how are these guys besties and he didn't know he had an 11 year relationship? That was a hard sell for me.

The lead actress really lit up the screen and I was glad she reentered the fray, especially towards the end, and the last two episodes really picked up, although they could never quite evoke the magic of romance ala louie-elevator, it still did a pretty good job. The only problem is everything else felt like an unguided mess, and the humour was too weak to save it. Very few laugh-out-loud moments throughout the whole season.

I think the one off ep (6?) didn't really work in the same way the one in Bojack horseman did, and would have served better off as a separately released movie or something. Really imo had no place in the season. Ugh, just so much of this whole season felt clumsy to me.

Did like
- Aziz's parents
- chose to relocate it back to NY
- not often covered themes
- Many excellent music choices

Meh. Not sure I'll watch the next season.

You are expecting laugh out loud which is not what this show is about. That show is charming sometime depressing and overall about life experience which seems to connect with most people.

I seem to remember the last season being pretty funny, but it's possible I'm wrong. Also, I only need it to be funny if it's lacking in other parts, which it is. (like I said though, minority opinion).
