Pootie,

I thought she was hot in a nerdy cute chick way on the show. Thanks for pointing out that she's just flat out hot, period!

Lol, so the guy who had been on TV cooking shows and had his own cookbook before is calling out someone else for being a plant because she apparently works as a pastry chef after the show finished? Sorry she made something of her appearance and you get to blog about it bro.

Her being an actor and dancer previously, btw, would work against her being a plant.

Oh and while we are here last season had a professional food stylist/photographer. The only limitation they seem to have for what is and isnt a "home cook" is that the person hasnt been to culinary school, as evidenced by actual TV chef experienced and cook book published Ben Starr being invited to audition.

Well, but how about the fact that her actual look is nothing like the person on the show? I think at least an argument can be made that the producers say "okay well we want a nerdy looking hip sort of girl to counterbalance some of the other female contestants."

How so? Wouldn't they want someone with actor/dancer qualities like good looks, confidence, appearing natural in front of a camera?

You are surprised that she looks a lot different when she is having professionally taken and photoshopped portfolio shots than when she is taking part in a televised cooking competition?

It just seems that she has had a change of career direction going from struggling actor/model/dancer to TV chef anonymous pastry chef in a restaurant that I didnt check out but assume is quite good given how it was name dropped.

Btw, this is likely a huge spoiler and she goes on to win the show now which would have helped her chances landing the first job considerably which then experience and word of mouth between chefs put her over the top to the current job.

I assumed "she is a plant" argument is because they want someone really good at cooking and has been doing it for years as a professional. To pivot in another direction if she is a plant who wants to stay as an actor why isnt she doing acting related work afterwords like being a TV chef? All the limited evidence just adds up to what it appears, she tried acting, couldnt get anywhere and found she was good at cooking so parlayed that into a career via the Masterchef show.

But switching the premise to they want someone who looks good, is confident and appears natural infront of a camera and (which you missed) will drive viewers she is like the fourth best person doing so this season. Krissy is the bad guy, Natasha is the bitch who can back her **** up and Luca is the underdog story getting a second chance. All three of which have been as good as her delivering one shots to camera telling the story editors have wanted.

I can see what she is getting out of this deal, I dont see what the show is getting. There is no evidence they have ever needed a plant before and if they wanted one why did they go with nerdy hipster looking chick whose story is she doesnt eat meat which no one cares about. Surely they could have hunted down a deaf chick or some transgender woman etc.

I have known people who have their photos taken professionally, they look a bit different. If you didn't tell me that was bri I never would've known. Plus, one of those pics just looks like her posing with a friend

Her face features are quite decent in those picts.. on the show she has a grave case of butterface.

Might just be the hair/glasses but usually i find hot chick still hot with those.

But I think this is the perfect time to throw in a "make over" to the winner of a challenge. Lets unleash the hidden potential underneath all her multiple layers. She could be this years Felix with a little bit more work.

Who the **** is Lynn is it a woman?

I think if the top 6 consisted of Fatty loud mouth, Sexy Texan, Beardy, Mega Bitch, Dead mom and Luca then it would be a pretty decent series.
Pretty impressed that I called top 6 and that Bri would get hot

If bri is a plant from production, and she is a pastry chef, then her eclair challenge was just a masterpiece of culinary pretending...

The awe and deference everyone gives Lynn is completely inexplicable, considering he sucked at everything on the show from the start besides plating. When he ****ed up the sunnyside up challenge, everyone talked like it was this amazing lucky fluke when the fact is he sucks and screws up under pressure.

Swag recognizes swag. Lynn was probably one of the more advanced contestants wrt actual own skill. His flavor profile was likely excellent. But some people just don't react well to timed events. And it's not like his character was worth saving. He was like a less talented Christine who could see.

There is no way Krissi had the best dish.

THEY know it would make for good/controversial tv so they let her win.

Lol anyone who thought Natasha isnt the huge fave and has been since episode three and that first mystery box with the tart. She completely crushed it this ep.

Not all that surprised to see Jordan go, never came close to being the one to watch as they tried to push him at the start and Luca is on a hot streak.

Bri crushing a meat dish and one involving a protein that only a tiny few cooks would have seen before is hilarious. Even Krissi had a strong week out-plating Luca to take down the mystery box.

New rankings

1. Jessie - 40% - Can't cook ****ing chicken? Sinking but still the favorite.
2. Luca - 25% - He seems to be getting better week after week.
3. Natasha - 20% - I'm starting to come around a little bit but I still don't think she wins.
4. James - 8% - Not showing much lately
5. Bri - 7% - Showing more confidence since she returned.
6. Krissi - .01% - I've bumped her up 10000 fold based on her showing this week. Still no chance obv.

I agree with these rankings except Jessie and Natasha's percentages should be switched IMO. I cant stand Natasha but she has shown that shes the best one in the competition and has not been in danger of elimination at all..I love Jessie but she has been in danger of being eliminated quite a few times over the last 4-5 episodes and has definitely lost that momentum she had in the beginning of the season

Just got in pace with this season. James is awesome.

James bragging about how he is a texas male who eats steak once a week then landing middle of the pack in that challenge was hilarious.

FWIW though, I think James is more likely to win that Jessie. Power three is Natasha leading Bri and James whose skills are back and forth depending on the challenge.

So ****ing tilted I've missed most of the season. Pretty impressed that the vegan girl can manage to whip up dishes featuring animal parts though. Is there some regulation that dictates that vegan chicks are required to wear glasses with uncomplimentary frames?
