Overall though the story was very very good I thought.
The story was good(established a mystery of the dead Afghan cop, drew connections, solved it satisfyingly), and a lot of the monologing was really well written. Which wasn't the case in Daredevil, when Matt Murdock whined about vigilantism it was transparent and bad, but the little group therapy talks and the conversations with Lewis that Frank has were really good. Some of it was spelled out with an insulting obviousness(everything with the reporter lol Daredevil Season 2 is contagious) but there was some nice stuff under the surface there.
I don't even mind Frank being a tank who gets shot a comical number of times without so much as a limp the next day. SPOILER: counting shots that are shown as going into a bulletproof vest it's got to be like what, 30? He also loses roughly 8 gallons of blood. But pretty much every other character with lines is also a tank. It's like the show takes place in an alternate universe where everyone is a Terminator, and the dramatic impact does cause problems(spoiler for the last episode, no character names)
