Just finished. eps 12 and 13 had both the best and worst scenes of the series.

Frank's wife was hotter IMO.

Just finished last episode. Fantastic series, would put it up there with Daredevil S1, definitely one of the top 5 Marvel Netflix seasons. Hope they continue it although I don't see how they could really.

this was insanely good, so much violence and gore and still they managed to develop characters. Enjoyed pretty much every single ep, nothing felt filler to me.

Decent show...didn't like Adani very much...actress wasn't great. Thought the merry-go-round ending was kinda weak, too. And for someone named The Punisher, he took an awful lot of punishment. Guess it's an ironic name.

I enjoyed the season, though.

I assume Russo is going to become some Marvel super-villain?

Watched first 4 episodes and episode 4 was top-notch, well-directed and edited. It's an ultra-macho (Michael Mann style?) series that has a decent plot, characters. dialogue, even music. Still not sure what a "hipster" is though, but I'm not one.

Hipsters are just another class of people that dress stupid and act in a group think way. It's a fad just like goth, skaters, wiggers, ect. If you're an adult then it doesn't matter.

9 episodes in and I think this may be the best marvel show. They were losing me

Just finished the excellent episode 8. It was full of dramatic moments and a really bloody fight with a stunning final scene of Dinah Madani in her bathtub covered in blood and then the camera pulls back for an eye-bulging reveal. I'm trying not to spoil for others if it matters.

BTW, with her delicate feminine looks Dinah doesn't really fit the bill as a guns-blazing Homeland field agent but I'm still glad she's in the cast.

So good I'm rewatching. My first go at it I was drunk thru half of it and I watched it all in a 23 hour time period lol.

Outstanding.

Also, hadn't watched the trailer until now. Brilliant, and perfect use of One. Little bit remixed?

This is probably the best of the Marvel shows I've seen(DD1+2, JJ) but man the plotting and characterization gets loose towards the end, there are a lot of characters who do some baffling **** because the writers wrote themselves into a corner and wanted to get out. Which I don't get, this isn't like a show that films week to week, they presumably had all their scripts ready before starting shooting.

Edit: They also kept the Daredevil thing where literally every character has the recovery abilities of Wolverine? I don't get it. Have none of the writers ever cut themselves or gotten punched? They get to decide how badly hurt a character is, if they need the character to not be hurt a few days later they can just have them get hurt less. The whole show takes place over a period of weeks.

Pretty good spin on the Punisher universe. Agree that maybe he shouldn't be getting shot and stabbed every other day? It's tough I guess because he can't just come out of every engagement without a scratch but it is a "superhero" show so whatever I guess.

Overall though the story was very very good I thought.

huge rebound from Daredevil fighting ninjas, the completely underwhelming Defenders and Iron Fist. Also, better than Daredevil S1. Kilgrave still top Marvel Netflix character overall though.

The story was good(established a mystery of the dead Afghan cop, drew connections, solved it satisfyingly), and a lot of the monologing was really well written. Which wasn't the case in Daredevil, when Matt Murdock whined about vigilantism it was transparent and bad, but the little group therapy talks and the conversations with Lewis that Frank has were really good. Some of it was spelled out with an insulting obviousness(everything with the reporter lol Daredevil Season 2 is contagious) but there was some nice stuff under the surface there.

I don't even mind Frank being a tank who gets shot a comical number of times without so much as a limp the next day. SPOILER: counting shots that are shown as going into a bulletproof vest it's got to be like what, 30? He also loses roughly 8 gallons of blood. But pretty much every other character with lines is also a tank. It's like the show takes place in an alternate universe where everyone is a Terminator, and the dramatic impact does cause problems(spoiler for the last episode, no character names)

Spoiler:

It's a little unclear why the final fight ends when Frank stabs the bad guy. That guy had been shot repeatedly, Frank and him were both stabbed repeatedly, but this one stab is the special dramatic kind of stab that ends the fight? The invincibility of the characters that scales with their plot importance makes the stakes of any individual fight unclear

you guys are reading in to much into that, he do share the same town as daredevil, which means kingpin who had "superstrength" whilst being human, sorta. and stuff. I expected some supernatural stuff to come in the last eps, not from punisher himself, but either he gets aided or some cameo shows up to knit it together, the good ole present a new character as the lift-off for its own show.

It would make it less unreal aswell that he can he is so hard to kill, its not a superpower per say, but in that universe having a regular human being slightly better at this stuff isnt that big of a stretch is it when getting **** in your eyes give you a bat-radar, not a genetic code rewriting or anything.

Im happy they kept it "human only" in this show though, albeit it would release some of the issues.

But since they know Frank was the executioner, this doesn't make sense.

Overall liked the show a lot, I think the final episode was completely unnecessary though. Just have Russo caught/dead in the end of ep 12 and wrap it up.

Finished this and liked it. Seems the most believable Marvel property. I guess it's one part that there's no supernatural element to it and another that fusion of the writing and the characterization of Jon Berthal that Frank Castle felt like a whole person while also being a jarhead jock.
