Just started watching season 1. So I'm pretty far behind.

After 5 episodes, I love it.

Season 2 was good, but it was a step down from S1.

Somehow just decided to watch this. First episode was great.

BTW, just read something that said Lenny Bruce dude is just crushing it in this role. Lenny's daughter is delighted with his performance; and a tv critic writes that if you watch that Steve Allen scene alongside the original Lenny+Steve bit, it's even more remarkable.

Yeah i recently watched the real steve allen lenny Bruce bit. Was funny but the character in this show has even better timing

Just started season 2 and it is a very well-written show. Deserves every award it gets.

Would have bet from the show description that this wouldn't be something I liked but decided to give a shot because of the rave reviews and because I'm always looking for something that I can watch with my wife that we would both enjoy (Gilmore Girls did not do it for me).

I guess I'd compare it to Cheers, Mary Tyler Moore, Simpsons, Frasier....basically any comedy that wins every Emmy in sight.

Just finished S2 after seeing recommendations here & in some other places.

Amazing show. Sure S1>S2, but only slightly because imo S2 ended really strong.

I love almost everything about this show, tbh I dislike some plotlines with the parents, but I can live with it because without it the interactions with Midge & them wouldn't be so great.

Lead actress is amazing. I'm actually going to check out her other stuff, I need more! The jokes are mostly amazing. It must be very hard to write fictional standup scenes, but the writers are doing a really good job.

*I think Midge not marrying the doctor was not really a surprise. I did not make the connection during the season, but thinking back on it they showed the relationship in a way that you were pretty sure that Midge wasn't in love with him, but he was crazy about her. After the opening scenes of the last episode of S2, it was pretty clear where it was going.

*Agree Sophie hiring Susie is weird and might not be a good idea, and doesn't make much sense. The Sophie-character is set up to look like she mostly cares about her wealth, and not at all about all the other crap. I guess I'll wait on judgement until we see where it goes.

*Is there some sort of legal scenario possible where the parents can get a fake divorce, and the house "lease" is transferred to Rose, so that Abe can quit his job and they can still keep the house? It's the only scenario that made sense to me with what we've seen so far.

The ending of the first episode certainly was convincing!

Season 3 started yesterday.

ep 1 meh ep 2 better just okay this season

Season 3 was good and I thought the final was super solid.
8 episodes felt a bit short but respect for cutting 2 episodes short if they couldn't do more instead of 2 useless episodes like a lot of Netflix shows.

Season 3 mostly sucked.

dunno what it is but maisel went from endearing and charming to annoying and insufferable.

I blew through season 3 this weekend and thought it was pretty good except for the whole Jane Lynch arc which I didn't care for. I was never a huge fan of this show and never felt it earned all of its accolades but I still enjoy watching it and will continue to watch if they make more.

Just ended S3.

First few episodes were OK, E6 and finale were solid imo. Some plotlines were boring and really growing tired of the parents and Sophie Lenon character. Also really think the show doesn't need the gambling storyline. The mom's small monologue in the finale did surprise me as at least being interesting.

Also thought some of Ms Maisel her standup was significantly less funny this season, but in the finale it was solid.

Saw the end coming a mile away but it was still done really well. I guess the Shy Baldwin was always a temporary character, but will be sad if this is how this storyline ends. I'm guessing he'll be back, no way they introduce a gay black character in this show to end it like this.

Agree that the gambling was a net negative story wise.
Ending was great even if it was pretty predictable.
