who did those guys intimidating the manager work for? That agent played by david paymer last season?
ya almost positive.
man tony is so great but midge has really become annoying and unlikeable.
I'm only on the 5th episode but come on no one ****ing asked you to do a 5min stand up bit at someone else's wedding stop being so desperate to be the center of attention it's really obnoxious.
she's basically become the least likeable character on the show.

They at least explained it in that, as a comic, she had lost her grasp on handling normal social situations. It was a story line.

The wedding bit was stupid. I loved the first season but I haven't been that into Season 2.
GF and I broke up. GF had the Prime account. lmk how it ends will ya?
I'm in the same boat, except the Prime video on my TV is still signed into her account! Not so sure about the turn of events in the last episode, but I thought it was a good stretch run to the season.
I didn't really quit, I watched those episodes in the last 3 or 4 days. I was thinking of quitting tho. I will finish season 1 at least and see how it goes.
Saw a great tweet that said, essentially, "My ex is watching a great show with my NetFlix account. Right before she gets to the series finale, i i'm changing my password...cuz i'm Petty LaBelle."
Just finished s2. A *lot* of manufactured drama to create a lot of s2 cliffhangers. The worst, IMO:
Spoiler:
Sophie hiring Susie.
Unless this is Sophie plotting to divide+conquer Midge and Susie, this is just too implausible (yes, I know that no part of this show is plausible...I only ask that they be reasonably implausible).
As for last ten seconds noted above, I'm fine with it. Here's why:
Spoiler:
She doesn't love Ben. She was going to marry the rich handsome doctor because that's what everyone else wants her to do, and they had her convinced (since childhood!) that she should want it, too.
But she'd rather have the crazy kid who stopped traffic to propose to her. The father of her children, her first (and only) true love. He scored a ton of points with her, throwing hands at that club manager, too.
--That wacky Declan dude talking about how he gave up any hope of normal family life to pursue his art...pretty cool way to tell Midge what choices she'll need to face.
--What does Papa have up his sleeve? I was thinking divorce might be part of his midlife crisis (telling his wife to sit down, hiring a lawyer...and worst of all, cutting to him FIRST in the montage during Lenny Bruce's "All Alone" number), but so soon after flying to Paris to tell his wife he can't live without her?
--Sophie mailing it in during that interview with sick people, reading Q's off the cards. Cracked me up.
--"You can call collect, you know."
"That was a great idea, $3 ago!"
Dammit, that's one of MY jokes!
OK, I ripped it off from an old radio show ("that was a great idea, five minutes ago!")...but still!
