It doesn't surprise me. The defense was incredibly limited in jury selection due to the Kratz PR conference that poisoned the public.

The defense was so limited that they picked a person that had a personal connection to the sheriff's department because he thought it would be possible for the police to plant evidence.

Well, they did a lot more investigative work than I thought.

On the Avery property, they recovered a Manitowoc Sheriff's badge and a Green Bay Police Department badge. It doesn't say if they are official and whose badges they are. Not sure if that makes anyone more suspicious or less.

Lenk and Colburn were digging up a possible gravesite.

What happened to following the edict that Manitowoc would only be providing equipment?

Should there be any type of penalty at all for willfully disregarding the order and intentionally misleading the public regarding Manitowoc County involvement?

Substantial doubt would have been removed if their OWN orders were obeyed and followed. DA Rohr did the correct thing and immediately recused himself from the case because of the obvious conflict of interest.

For the goofs

From a report on a November 4th interview of Ryan:

Quote:
He told me he has known TERESA since they were freshmen in high school and they had dated on and off for approximately five years during that time.

"THOMAS BRUECHERT had reported to the MANITOWOC COLTNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT that a ROGER R. RADUENZ had told him he was in prison with STEVEN AVERY. RADUENZ informed BRUECHERT that after STEVEN AVERY was released, some other inmates at the prison broke into the prison hospital, stole the vial of STEVEN AVERY's blood and then tumed the blood over to RADUENZ who was being released from prison. RADUENZ indicated he had befriended BRENDAN DASSEY and RADUENZ and DASSEY would watch STEVEN AVERY's whereabouts around the AVERY salvage property. BRUECHERT stated RADUENZ went on to tell him that RADUENZ had come upon TERESA HALBACH, who had run out of gas on I43. He had tried to have sex with her, she refused and he killed her. After this was completed, he placed TERESA HALBACH's vehicle at the AVERY'S SALVAGE YARD with AVERY'S blood, which he had stolen from prison, inside TERESA HALBACH's vehicle."
Page 1043
They were never in prison together.
Page 1050
I compared the correction facilities where STEVEN AVERY and RoGER RADUENZ were located during their time of incarceration. In comparing the locations, ROGER RADUENZ and STEVEN AVERY were not incarcerated in the same facility at the same time.
He goes on to give a full account of where they were incarcerated and at what times.

I have a feeling this one will be a smash hit in this thread

"I Kurt J. Frasier a former correctional officer for the State of Wi. worked at Fox Lake Correctional and at times performed duties as a Housing Unit Sgt. While performing duties one evening as a Housing Unit Sgt., I was able to listen in on a conversation between inmate Avery and another inmate speaking in the hallway behind sgts. office. The bits of the conversation that I could make out were Questions about using some type of combustible & the heat needed to destroy evidence/DNA. At the time I believed them to be discussing a T.V. crime Investigation show. The date & time is unclear but I believe it to be just after inmate Avery found out he was to soon be released. "

Don't cross the Averys! Even Tammy knew this!

"Ms. HAGGS advised me that someone named DAWN who works at AUTO TRADER stated she had overheard that STEVEN AVERY had called on yesterday's date (11/03/05) between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. approximately, because STEVEN needed to reschedule the appointment with the photographer. STEVEN indicated that the photographer had not made the scheduled meeting on Monday, 10131105. According to RACHEL, STEVEN indicated that the photographer (TERESA HALBACH) had called and indicated that she could not make the Monday appointment. According to RACHEL, there is a record for an appointment with JANDA on the 31" of October. RACHEL went on to indicate that STEVEN stated TERESA had contacted him on Monday about this matter. RACHEL indicated that a subject named SCOTT had called STEVEN regarding TERESA HALBACH and, apparently, was under the impression STEVEN was not happy about "being accused of stuff." RACHEL went on to indicate that she had learned STEVEN AVERY had made inappropriate comments to TERESA in the past and further had come out of the house on a previous occasion wearing only a towel."

Man, if only EARL had come forward to the cops earlier. Maybe Stephen would have never had a chance to murder TH. What an ******* EARL must be to not report a guy kicking his girlfriend so viciously to the police.

What is interesting is what is ultimately presented to a jury. The jurors are intentionally restricted from having access to all information. It would be an overwhelming endeavor to read and process over a 1,000 pages though.

That's just one of many of Steven's horrible acts listed in the new report.

Pretty much every family member interviewed said they thought Steven was capable of the murder.

But everyone was scared of Steven, and rightfully so...

I know that if I was deathly afraid of some hick, I would totally never report him for stuff that would get him locked in prison. Scared of someone? Have evidence of acts that will put them away where they can't get you? Obviously the right play is to keep that completely bottled up, that way the guy you are deathly afraid of continues to pose a threat to you. Perfect logix!
