I dunno man, if you contend that a random witness is lying for no reason then cool.

More likely just misremembering, as all other evidence contradicts it, but Zellner seizes on it to craft a narrative.

As opposed to the extremely plausible narrative that TH was chained to a bed, raped, stabbed in the stomach, neck slit and then taken to the garage to be shot in the head with not a trace of blood to be found. Cool.

I don't think all of that happened. Most of that stuff came from Brendan and wasn't included in Steven's trial.

I believe she was shot in the head in the garage, because the evidence corroborates that.

Yeah shot in the head with the magical bullet covered in wood and chapstick
Making a Murderer Quote
10-22-2018 , 06:01 AM
The bullet was not "covered in wood" - there were microscopic particles.

Chapstick is just what Zellner claims the waxy substance on the bullet is in an effort to explain TH's DNA, but her own expert provides a much more realistic explanation in his affidavit:

a. A waxy substance covers a significant portion (-40%) of the leading surface of the bullet. This material may be related to the waxes used by a firearms analysts to orient and hold bullets during their analysis. Further analysis of the waxy material could clarify this point.

I ve watched 6 episodes so far, GOD DAMIT NETFLIX CUT YOUR ****ING SHOWS in half.
On the other hand being someone who followed the case more than i should, it was still pretty interesting to watch blood partern tests at the very least.

Personally, I don't think shes lying. I think shes making a mistake. This wasn't a recent event and a minute detail like "she was in the car" can easily be planted in her memory by mistake. Or perhaps the caller is telling the truth and Teresa had to return home for some reason.

Anyway, she (Teresa) called auto trader asking for barbs address before this call and the fax with barbs address came after this call, so at best the printed note from the day planner with a hand written note from a call she took probably before leaving the house is dubious.

is there a camp for people who think he's guilty but they also planted evidence to make sure he got convicted and stayed in jail this time?

A decent % of the non guilty Camp see that as a possibility.

For someone who is absolutely clueless regarding american law - why is Brendan in jail? Is there anything other than his confession?

Apparently all you need is a confession.

There is other circumstantial evidence,

*strong evidence he was with avery that night
*admitting under oath in court to helping with the fire and the garage after initially lying about both for months
*Behavior before the confession
* confession leading to additional evidence

Pretty much it. A confession that a lot of people can see is full of **** - even people who think Steven is guity.

He didn't mention one thing voluntarily that fitted their narrative without them suggesting it to him first right? Blows my mind that he could be locked up still even now from that 'confession' alone.

Plus Brendan guessed so many mutually exclusive things they could easily have suggested a dozen different narratives.

It's very indicative of the sort of 'investigation' authorities were conducting that in the very first recorded interrogation of Brendan police are already pressuring Brendan to lie.

The fact that most of his confession makes no sense and is accepted as fact is mind blowing.
- throat slit with no blood on the carpet or mattress.
- Leg iron with no mark on the wooden bed frame.
- corpse burnt with awefull smell that nobody else noticed.
- some evidence are even pushing a different narrative : multiple burn sites.

Only evidence found : a bullet with botched testing and suspicious discovery

One thing surprising about season two is that Strang & Buting being made to look rather incompetent despite supposedly being the best lawyers SA could get, and weren't cheap obviously.

In Season one they came out of it looking like heroes, doing discussion tours etc.

If you check Buting's twitter he comments that he loved Season 2 and highlights stuff specifically brought up about the coroner in the last episode.

They weren't made to look as incompetent as the documentary and Zellner tried to make the prosecution's argument. Zellner did highlight some things she thought they didn't do well enough; mostly forensic stuff but overall I didn't feel it came off to harsh on their initial defense. It more so just tried to poke more holes in the prosecution's case.

Steven Avery's blood found in her car though. Unless you buy the scraping of blood off his sink and planting argument then that's some fairly damning evidence. I think it's been scientifically proven that the blood didn't come from that vial shown in Season 1 and even Zellner didn't try to re-debate that theory in Season 2.

Talking only about dassey here. Appart from the bullet absolutely nothing match his confession.
Making a Murderer Quote
10-23-2018 , 07:46 AM
You’re being misleading, that may have been the only direct evidence found to link Dassey to the murder (aside from his confession) however, we know he was in the garage with Avery, we know he assisted with a bonfire the night Teresa went missing. Avery admitted this in a recorded phone call with Jodi the night Teresa went missing. He said him and BD were cleaning in the garage.

Then just a few weeks later BD says there was no bonfire or no cleaning in the garage, then later happens to remember some reddish stuff he cleaned up in the garage, then he remembers cleaning up blood, then body parts, then he remembers the murder. He’s consistently lied, since day one. His sworn statement in court is that him and Avery had a bonfire then cleaned up some reddish brown stuff in the garage.

Since Avery is known to have burned a body in that very fire, and there is sufficient evidence to conclude its most parsimonious Teresa was shot in the garage and we have a kid who confessed to all this, what should our conclusions be here?

On watching MaM2 Episode 1 Zellner goes over the drops of Steven's blood in the RAV4. She doesn't hypothesize where those drops came from. But the investigation of the prosecution claims demonstrates that these blood drops are not physically or logically consistent with the cut on Steven's finger.

There is no evidence of blood in the places where blood from an actively bleeding cut would be expected: the door handle, the key, the gear shift, or the hood latch - all the places where the hand would go.

Instead the few drops used by the prosecution are in random nonsensical locations.

We all know about multiple burn sites and we all saw how messy the garage was, dont expect me to entertain your thread constant pollution.
When you will stop fighting tooth and nail even the most stupid facts of this case maybe people will see an interest doing any elaborate replies.
