I was going to ask when/if season 2 was ever going to happen and I see it is. Which is kind of ******ed at this point. If anything major had happened at any point it’d already be well known. Unless they’re going for a Jinx kinda thing where they’re released when the eps drop. That’d be hilarious!!

Anyone who's seen his previous films (White boy , A murder in the park) knows that the man is an excellent filmmaker and keeps both sides honest. Both of those films also investigate wrongful prosecutions and the impact the media can play on both convicting people and convincing people guilty people are innocent.

Look, it’s beyond obvious Avery raped that woman and killed her. He’s a sick psychopath.

Look, let’s be honest, Steve Avery is a sick f*ck. When I want to get a little stank on my hang low, it has never occurred to me to deceptively lure a woman who is not interested and rape her with the idea to burn her up once I’ve finished. The man is just straight up diabolical.

Season 2 is coming October 19. Has there been any progress to update on?

People in New York will have an opportunity to hear from the documentarians when the second series becomes public.

As the real-life case continues, and Netflix prepares to launch a highly anticipated second season of the Emmy-winning documentary series, here’s a not-to miss opportunity to hear from the executive producers/writers/directors Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi in their first US speaking engagement about this remarkable project, see the first episode, and get the scoop on the big developments in the case that the new season is likely to cover.

Depends how you define "progress"...

Brendan's appeals were rejected all the way up to the Supreme Court, which refused to hear his case.

Steven Avery's latest round of appeals have also been rejected. Steven's lawyer Kathleen Zellner has presented to the court multiple conspiracy theories accusing several different people of murder, contradicting affidavits from Steven, and numerous cutting-edge science experiments such as "brain fingerprinting" and throwing blow-up dolls into the back of a Rav4.

Steven is offering to send bags of his cum to his fans who write him and is imploring them to taste it.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I wonder why they didn't have Steven take a proper lie detector test.

Just started watching season 2. I've not yet been caught up in real time and I'm only about three episodes into season 2. So far i'm really enjoying Zellner. Her attitude and work ethic expressed in the show are amazing character traits for a pro hero role and make for a very entertaining documented TV show. She has also this weird face yet decent body for an older woman coupled with such a successful past in her field of work which also generates at least for me some kind of strange sex appeal as a returned viewer to the series.

Steven still comes off as the little abused puppy dog to the viewer. Honestly, during season one I felt he was innocent and after reading alot of stuff post season one on the net I felt he was guilty. So far season 2 has me leaning back towards the innocent camp but again alot of that has to do with my strange appeal to his new lawyer Kathleen Zellner.

I will say one thing though. It's pretty obvious that Steven Avery has gained alot more fans and popularity since the debut of season one including probably more than a few female fans sending him their letters, underwear, etc.

Can you really blame a bored heterosexual guy in prison that has been locked up for most of his adult life for not having a bit of fun with his female fans?

I know it's easy for us to all say we would never do or say some of the things that Steven has said or done in apparent letters but then again almost non of us have ever been put in Steven's position.

Just food for though on that issue.

Again, realize you're only hearing her side of the story, and edited in a way to bolster it (much like Season 1). In reality, she's done a worse job than Buting and Strang (IMO at least) and Steven's appeal was swiftly denied.

Nope, I'm just enjoying the fact a rapist/murderer is sending his fans bags of his cum.

3 eps in and I’m.... enjoying it so far. “Enjoying” is such an odd word for something like this. Zellner hot..... really? Her paralegals in ep 3 though.... hell yeah!!

Interesting fact: the composer for the score is the guy who did The Last Of Us!!

I am on the first episode and already this **** is ludicrous. I can’t believe the claim Zellner is making that Avery would never leave that contact stain next to the ignition... That same stain was found in Avery’s own car!

Hey, I posted I was really enjoying Zellner's addition to the show. Her confidence in finding the truth which is shown in her interviews comes off as very admirable. She says something along the lines that a guilty person would be crazy to accept her as their lawyer as she'll do a way better job at breaking down a case and proving the truth than the previous lawyers was motivating to me as the viewer.

I'm not sure what you expect me the viewer to take from this show as I assume most of us are watching it for entertainment first. Do I feel sorrow for murder victims and victims from corruption in the legal system? Sure I do but as a viewer of "Making a Murderer" I'm more fascinated by the process and the events that led this specific case to where it is today. So Ya, I'm entertained while watching the documentary on TV.

Ya, I know this and the post your were quoting was after a bottle of wine and right before I headed off to bed so I was a bit unclear in my thought process.

I haven't caught up with the case at all so you have spoiled the ending a bit for me but still enjoying Zellner's compassion atleast shown so far in the series by the documenting crew.

Also, I wasn't advocating that Steven was acting in a normal manner for doing some of the things you've mentioned he is quoted at doing in your previous post but I am trying to position myself with an open mind on the matter.

Imagine if for argument sake Steven is innocent of both crimes. Here you would have a person that has spent the majority of his adult life in prison for crimes he didn't commit who is now a minor celebrity to a small base of "fans" on the outside world. Many of these people are sending to him in prison which probably includes a reasonable amount of these strange women groupie types.

Does he feel like a prison Rock Star in there? Could this lead to some unusual behavior on his end? I have no idea what sort of feelings would be going through his mind or how they would effect his judgement with his fans. For all we know some of his crazy fans could be asking Steven for this on the outside.
