I think there are similarities with Making a Murderer but the obvious differences are the mountain of evidence against Steven Avery in his case. It does show though how strong the media influence can initially be on a case without the burden of proof. If not for a strong legal defense behind the accused Duke lacrosse players we may have seen that case turn out in the opposite way.
Btw, best part of that whole 30 for 30 was when the captain of the lacrosse team stepped up and gave his speech to the media. It was like something out of a movie. Cheers to that guy for holding his head up high and being able to give that speech in that situation.
