Wild that this does not have a thread. I watched a couple of these years ago and was like, whatever. I watched the wrong ones.
Just rediscovering this and season 1 has a bunch of great episodes.
Are there people who just don't know about this show? I'm confident it's not for everyone. But as a Twilight Zone fan and Black Mirror enjoyer, this hits a lot more than it misses.
Some great stuff. Some meh stuff. But overall, worth talking about.
I'm excited to watch seasons 2 and 3.

also a fan of the twilight zone and shows like that. thought season 1 had some solid eps but was a bit underwhelmed by the first one on season 2 so just stopped watching. would probably get back to it if I heard good things about s3

I had mixed feelings about the handful of ones I watched from s1 and stopped watching; I remember liking one or two segments but not enjoying / maybe even hating the others. I've heard from a lot of others who felt the same. Really wanted to like the show, too. Might be something where I'm willing to give it another shot if I'm running low on other stuff I'm interested in watching.

Can confirm 2.1 was terrible.
The show’s attempts at humor are pretty broad and listless. Specifically the Hitler episode and the Yogurt episode in s1
I however will continue on.

Season 3 was great...especially liked the mini zombie apocalypse.

I hope youre right. 3.1 was a miss. Even though I was excited to see them continue a story from s1

Yeah, I thought season 3 had a lot of duds. I'm guessing 1 in 3 were okay.

season 3 had the best episode of the series - the one where the siren and the deaf conquistador do battle. That was a straight up masterpiece.

Ok, so season 1 was a little hit and miss, but overall I rated it.

Season 2 was dog ****.

Season 3 is the strongest thus far imo, though the first episode is weak, ep 2 (directed by Fincher no less) is excellent, and most of the others are superb too.

I agree season 2 was bad. I think season 1 had much higher highs than season 3. But I guess it had twice the number of episodes.

What I find fascinating about this show is how so many of them are able to create such a compelling story from start to finish, including fleshed out well written characters, in such a short period of time. Really speaks to the skills of writing and storytelling.

Especially then compared to some of the lesser fare that really misses the mark and feels amateurish by comparison.

The better ones are able to put a decent bow on the package at the end, but leave me wanting more, like I really would love to see a full feature version of some of these concepts. A lot of them have really compelling ideas.

The worse ones also leave me wanting more, but not in a good way. Because it feels like they barely were getting starting and then end really abruptly.

You could, but you'd miss out on a few other brilliant episodes.

Yeah all are standalone. I say watch episode 2 (Bad Travelling), episode 7 (Mason's Rats) and episode 9 (Jibaro) and you'll be good.

The siren and the deaf conquistador is episode 9.
