it's on A&E and is basically live COPS. anyone else eating this **** up? i love the car chases and a few weeks ago they busted a lady on some petty offense and they check her background and there's a sodomy charge and she's having a good laugh about it all. sometimes the meth addicts have savant memories of their past offenses and other criminals end up making a split second harebrained decision and end up riding it out. when the offenders realize the jigg's up and they're on LIVE PD is when some real intense 4th wall situations occur.

I watch from time to time when there's nothing else I want to watch. I like it.

75 minutes until the live arrests begin. Show feels ripe for a bingo card.

Has there been one instance in the history of the show, where the dog comes out to get probable cause, but he doesnt "alert" to something

I watch every minute of it every week. My favorite show on TV, basically.

It's also an important show. It presents police officers in a very different light than "COPS" does. They help the community and aren't just busting drug users and giving them a hard time. And many of the officers featured on "Live PD" are very good at their jobs.

Nye county, NV has been bringing it lately. Last night a guy pooped himself by the outer vending machines of a wal-mart. Cop who drove him off was a hero.

I did a roll call with a friend about the great aspects of Live PD. The missing children report seems like a huge deal. Dan Abrams is the man.

The dogs are the best part. Last night had a truck swerve in traffic before a hot pursuit. The boys running at the pulled over vehicle with the doggie leading the charge was awesome. The trio had a freakin’ uzi on them. Wasn’t paying close attention, but guessing there were drugs too. Other arrests last night had meth pipes and TONS of needles, which weren’t brought to the officer’s attention. BIG no-no.

There are reasons why shows like that (almost) never follow up on outcomes of cases with a scent search...those are amongst the easiest cases to get a suppression on. The law enforcement personnel go ahead and move forward without giving two craps about how difficult that made the prosecutors task (or if they DO consider it, they are banking on the drug addict pleading out).

I like some of the personalities they are filming in some of the jurisdictions though...and I also like that they show officers using some common sense in cases where it is merited. Those in the criminal justice field know it gets used but the masses tend never to see it, especially when their only involvement has been getting pulled over and cited for a few miles over the speed limit.

I think the original cops on the show were exemplary. Seemed like the cream of the cop crop.

Now that theyve cycled through different departments, theyre crawling further down the roster, theyve kind of gotten down to some rejects.

drug dogs are magic. cant challenge their accuracy even when they have proven poor test results with identifying drugs..

On Saturday 4/14 NYE had a cop that seemed really uncomfortable on camera, or patently stupid, unethical, or some combo of the sort. I thought the drunk guy didn’t deserve a sheisty arrest.
