This has an 86 rating at Metacritic...which is just about universal praise. It's on Wednesday night...looks interesting...apparently, it's part of the X-Men universe, but I don't know anything about it.

Sepinwall said it has the potential to be the first great comic book tv series. That's enough for me to give it a look.

So many ads during the Super Bowl - it kind of turned me off. Will wait for feedback from actual views, including OOTV.

The person who made Fargo TV series made this.

Noah Hawley

Was good, but it might be hard to watch if every episode is from the perspective of the unreliable narrator. Hopefully some episodes are a little more straightforward storytelling, even though I did like it quite a lot, and am intrigued.

I liked the premier a lot and this interview with Hawley made me even more optimistic

1st episode we had unreliable narrator crazy person, non-linear story telling, people 'jumping' bodies.

Out.

Do I need to know anything about X-Men to enjoy or follow this show?

No. I doubt they will ever show up, probably mentioned like once or twice total in upcoming season.

over all i liked it. it took me a couple tries to get through the whole thing.

i thought the lead guy did a pretty good job acting. but i wasn't crazy about his accent. it's really common for people doing an accent to do this weird thing with their voice and it comes across as phony. it really takes away from the performance. if someone can't pull off an accent without making their voice sound weird, they shouldn't try. i'd rather the main character was english than have him talk strangely.

It often sounds like the main character is a young Hugh Laurie.

You mean a young House? A young Hugh Laurie sounded about as British as you can get (longtime Blackadder fan).
