and speaking of the leftovers, i was gonna say that sounds like a max richter song during that final day montage, and ldo it was

STOP USING MAX RICHTER’S “ON THE NATURE OF DAYLIGHT” IN EVERYTHING
27th April 2020

Quote:
Most everyone knew the piece from its use as sonic bookends in Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival, but chances are most of us have heard it a number of times. “On the Nature of Daylight” also features in such films as Stranger than Fiction (2006), Shutter Island (2010), Disconnect (2012), the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2012), The Face of an Angel (2014), The Innocents (2016), and Togo (2019). In terms of television, the track also plays at the end of an episode of Hulu’s Castle Rock titled “The Queen”, and was used very recently in the 35th anniversary episode of Eastenders. Perhaps most tellingly of all, a music video for the song starring Elisabeth Moss was released in 2018. I ask you, reader, how many pieces of classical music get their own music video?
"stop using this ****ing song in everything!!!"
hbo "no."

lol

use *clap* sarajevo *clap* instead *clap* (or spring 1)

The official podcast with the showrunners is a very good companion, once you watch each episode.

Very much so. They did a TLoU Part 1 and Part 2 podcast as well when Part 2 came out and it was exceptional. Neil, who is usually annoyingly vague and secretive until the projects release, was finally able to talk in detail. They had Troy, Ashley and a few others on as well. They talked really in depth about certain decisions that were made in the development so anyone who had issues (of the non-bigoted variety) with Part 2 could understand the thought process. Gave me new level of respect for ND and…. ND.

E4 was good. But the show really is a HBO version of TWD at this point. There’s only so much you can do with Zombie and Zombie adjacent shows

Digging into the initial political response and crumble would be an avenue, but I'd probably peace out as soon it turns into some shitty white house thriller movie.

loving the show, but did anyone else think it was a bad idea to go INTO KC? Seems like you'd want to bypass major cities.

Definitely a bad idea. I'm thinking they were low on gas? Hey, we'll go around it's only gonna takes us 2 min. Five min later, oh **** where's the highway. Oh and they also had a map.

I was under the impression that it was a petrol problem - they couldn't go far enough around with what they had left.

There's easy on/off ramps for all those highways. Feel like they could've easily got around it without going into KC. May have required driving on some grass or dirt to avoid the city area. Also think KC people may have blocked off the tunnel to force any bypassers into their choke point.

In a game the city is Pittsburgh, but that is exactly what happens and you can see in both the game and in the show that Joel is semi reluctant to go into the city and considers turning around and trying to find another way. I'm sure he considers some negative possibility to rolling into the city but just decides to role the dice and that ends up with them running into trouble.

Here is the video game ambush scene to compare; they brought in alot of the same dialogue and even had the same tune on the radio shortly before than ran into the ambush.

What's the point of this post? Melanie Lynskey is a well-known, well-thought-of actress and is perfectly fine in the role playing against type. Same with Bella Ramsey. You don't like it, fine, but add something to the conversation instead of useless snark.

Most of the decent 2+2 posters have left and all we've got now is this kind of crap. It's so boring.

I remember her from two and a half men lmao, the only thing I've seen her in. She was annoying then and she's annoying now.

I love her. Not from this necessarily, yet, but in general. We haven’t seen why they cast her yet and since she’s not in the game, no one know why. And it’s exciting! Craig and Neil have done more than enough to earn the trust that they know what the **** they’re doing.

Great in Yellowjackets of course. It's so odd to hear her speak IRL as a Kiwi. She seems to have US dialects nailed so hearing her natural accent is s shock (my wife is a Kiwi as well so always interesting to hear it out in the wild here)
