Sir,

His reaction to "peacock" was excellent.

why did ava have to spill soda on herself in order to go to the bathroom???
"excuse me where's the restroom" seems sufficient to me...

this is killing me. I must suck at googling, but who was the actor who played as an older marshall or fbi agent that helped raylan. I think the character ended up getting ran over. I thought it was s3 or s4. I remembered it being sam elliot, but obv that's not the right actor. He was supposed to represent raylan 20 years from now. I don't think the character was in more than 2 episodes.

Thank you. I'm pretty sure that's who it was. I thought it was a guy like Eric Roberts.

Great episode. Jere Burns in his bikini was an interesting sight!

And goddamn Mary Steenburgen is one sexy 61 year old.

All this time I thought Boyd was the ultimate, silver-tongued baddass.

And then Sam Elliott comes to town.

Duffy in the tanning bed was one of my favorite moments of this season.

ok I'm not normally the nitty type, but for the love of god can someone explain why ava had to spill on herself in order to come up with an excuse to go to/look for the bathroom???

also I really liked ava in the earlier seasons but her character has really started to annoy me starting last season and continuing this season.

she is obv smoking hot tho (great actress as well just don't like the arc they've given her).

Rbk,

That annoyed me too. Then I decided to chalk it up to great writing instead. She's super hung over and super nervous and is just not thinking very clearly in that spot.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of this show (from the first season) and I haven't been impressed. Cheesy gun fights & cliche plot is how I would sum it up so far. If I didn't like the first 3 episodes am I ever going to like the show, or is this pretty much it? I'm looking for something to watch and I'm wondering if I should stick it out.

Stick it out - show is trying to find itself in season 1 and plays more like a network drama. Season 2 and onward are season long arcs

Spilling a drink gives her a believable excuse to be missing from the restaurant for longer than she normally would be.

Healthy woman like that, even taking a dump is going to be no more than 4-5 mins. Cleaning a drying a top could be 10 easy.

Cubic: pretty much what stock said. I think it was somewhere around middle of season one where it started getting awesome.

Five: great point!

If Sam Elliott started talking to me like that and giving me that sideways, squinty stare, I think I'd crap myself.

I think that was the best episode of the whole series for me.

I love the intensity of this season. Elliott looks really effing weird without the stache, and I think his character would be even more effective with some kind of facial hair.

The funny acting/directing thing at the end of the intense scene was Elliott basically acting like Boyd should be the one leaving. Then he did some weird hand thing, got up, and kind of worked his way out of the scene. I didn't really get the awkward pause, but it still played fine.

I think the whole season has a really ominous tone where it is now seems absolutely plausible that neither Raylan nor Boyd get out alive, and maybe not even at each other's hand. Raylan is taking risk after risk after risk, and Boyd's just an angry man set to do bad.

It also gives her an easy excuse to point to if she's found wandering around when she shouldn't be. "I got lost looking for the washroom" is a lot more believable with a big spill on her shirt.

I know what you are going through, and let me break it down for you. It makes some sense.

You know that old theory or situation when there are 2 good mates, and turns out one of the friends is leaving forever so the other mate picks fights over the smallest things so he/she isn't hurt when its time to say goodbye....

That is you and Justified
