killgrave is a great character but i was a little disappointed. with that great of an actor and that great of a character.... i was hoping for some better dialogue from him. like moriarty in sherlock.

regarding the end
Spoiler:
jessica jones should have ripped his head off with her bare hands, not just snapped his neck

and season 2 should be a prequel
There is nothing whatsoever a prequel can cover which would be interesting. JJ was a super hero for like a week at most and not a good one in any way, and all the big points have been covered in flashbacks already.

If I didn't expect Cage and maybe even Defenders to cover it, it looked exactly like investigating the company that gave powers to Cage, and seems to have accidentally done so to Jessica and paid her bills to stay involved, would be season two.

I still can't quite get my head wrapped around this complaint in relation to this show. Unless I'm missing something, doesn't this show include exactly one homosexual relationship (lawyer-doctor-secretary)? If this particular show triggers a response that it's part of a liberal gay agenda, doesn't that mean ANY show with a homosexual relationship in it meets the definition of "too much"?

I really liked Jessica Jones, but it made me far less interested in Luke Cage - the character and actor both seemed incredibly bland.

Luke Cage was fine. He was pretty solid on The Good Wife.

I think Luke Cage was fine. Everyone has a hardon for great actors like Hiddleston, Tennant etc. in comic book movies that they trash anyone who has a par performance. Colter was fine and actually is an above average Cage imo. He's supposed to be soft spoken and restrained

Man, that ended pretty weak. All downhill after kickass episodes 8-10 imo.

I'm wondering if the Luke Cage series will actually take place before JJ.

Well, there was at least the Businessman that was shredding Albert's hands.

You're right! I forgot about them. I think I have been brainwashed by the relentless gay propaganda so now I don't even notice some of the gays.

I didn't think he added much to the show, but we got flashes of how interesting he could be. If his series is written well and it's more like the bar fight and less like basically everything else it'll be decent.

Im calling it now if the fourth show does end up being Punisher then Cage will be the worst of the four Netflix shows. Iron Fist might not work so it could be worse - that they are giving serious thoughts to scrapping it shows how difficult they're finding that show to make.

I don't see why it would.

Itll be post JJ investigating the company that made him and paid Jessica's medical bills with flashbacks to his origins as some kind of experiment that seems to tie up into TPM's parents somehow given his wife has evidence on them.

He seems to be getting linked up with daredevil through night nurse so he might get compelled to do the mask gig now he seems to have decided to stop keeping his head down, but I suspect it's going to be a tighter focus just on his origins.

That's right. One is too much. It's Adam and Eve, not Madame and Eve.

I agree with this about Cage. I liked how in the bar fight he just let guys punch and stab him a few times, and a bunch of his counter attacks were essentially pimp hand. I was reminded of Black Widow's line to Banner saying he is the guy "who avoids the fight because he knows he'll win." In his own series, when he has more motivation than getting pussy and crying over his dead wife, he'll probably be a much better character. I hope so anyway.

Your getting too caught up with what I said. It was honestly more of a comment about the show, and showbiz in general with regards to the gay thing, than a complaint.

And its pretty obvious that in general, where people land on the political spectrum, is gonna influence how much they enjoy this show, as will their gender. By the end of this show I thought it was alright. I also enjoyed the first few seasons of entourage, but I'm gonna be more likely to recommend this show to a liberal female friend that is passionate about feminism and I'm more likely to recommend Entourage to a male friend who doesn't care about political issues or high art.

Or people can just enjoy works of fiction even if they do not revolve entirely around their narrow view of the world.

Id recommend Entourage to someone as a final test of whether to cut them out of my life entirely. Maybe we are saying the same thing though, in a sense.

What little Entourage I've watched has made me think Matt Taibbi was right:

Quote:
I tried on a friend’s recommendation to get into Entourage and gave up after it struck me that it was the same show as Sex and the City – a drama about a foursome of impulsive yuppies with lots of disposable income who spend half of each show buying brand-name consumer products to make them feel better about having no brains/soul.
So I guess we're not friends any more?

Three episodes in and I am pretty underwhelmed. Not sure how they are going to drag this out over 13 episodes as it is already pretty slow. The fight scenes in episode 3 were ridiculously bad.

Through E6, really enjoying it. One thing nobody's really said yet
Spoiler:
if the only reason JJ and co are keeping TPM alive is to get Hope off, A) that's incredibly dumb as him alive obviously means more victims and B) it implies a PI/superhero/rogue cop/super lawyer team can't find a way to break Hope off and get her a new identity or something along those lines.

Just finished. Liked it but it would have been better if Jessica doing some PI work was interspersed with the Killgrave story. Would have helped maintain a more consistent pace and perhaps fleshed out Jessica 's character a bit more.

Episode 7 where JJ tried to force her way into a Supermax prison almost killed the show for me, but I persevered and felt OK after the finale.

I liked that she thought you get to request what prison to go to.
