maybe it did simply never occur to her to use headphones are get a deaf person to help.

if i were in her situation there is a non zero chance i wouldn't have thought of it. she is a wreck, drinking non stop, terrible sleep, traumatized etc

Just jumped in and watched the whole season in about a week. I thought it was good, but a little depressing.

Killgrave was one of the better, more-creative villains I've seen in a long time on one of these shows.

I see that some people think the fight scenes were bad. I thought they were realistic considering the fact that JJ is not a fighter per se. She's just a women with supernatural strength. That doesn't make you know how to throw a punch or kick.

Looking forward to season 2 after a break.

episode 1 was pretty bad imo. and i loved season 1. i think i'm part way through episode 3 now, and it got better. still no where close to season 1 though

Came in here to post pretty much this. Episode 3 is a lot better than episodes 1-2. Haven't yet seen E4.

Given how strong S1 was (pretty sure I binged all 13 episodes in less than a week), I'm going to trust the writers and likely watch all of S2.

Agree first couple of episodes are weak. Superhero shows need a good villain. This show so far has no villain. That ain't gonna work.

Oh man I forgot that Sean Callery does the soundtrack for this show; it's really good; I recognized him from 24.

A quick wiki glance at his profile reveals he hasn't done anything else as noteworthy as JJ or 24 (lol @ Homeland and that other Kiefer show).

In any event, hoping the rest of S2 has some great tense scenes for him to show off his skills.

Gets better once the villain is established, but still not as good as last season. The lack of Luke Cage or suitable replacement is hard to overcome.

im around episode 7 and i think it got a ton better. it's still not great, but it's decent. first 4 or 5 episodes are pretty much garbage.

I am on about episode 8 and i think this season has been horrible and totally forgetable. I have FF'd a lot of it because i dont care about anything JJ is involved in.

I am still waiting for the villain, bc right now, the one they have is awful.

I think Jessica Jones is an amazing character and really well done in this series. For some reason I'm really attracted to girls that drink Whiskey idk.

But just like Daredevil her best friend is ****ing unbearable, maybe that will be better next season. Her assistant also needs to be killed off. Meh season, I think season 3 will be a lot better because they can't do much more of this annoying garbage.

OK, so just finished the season and it was one of the worst follow up seasons I have ever seen. I would put it behind True Detective S2 as an awful awful follow up. It just sucked. Not one story line was worth watching. They had like 2 years to come up with something and this was it?

Season 2 is pretty bad. After about 5 episodes in I found myself fast forwarding my way through lots of it, especially the many terrible Trish scenes.

This is one of the biggest falls from grace I've seen in a show between S1 and S2. It is up there with True Detective S2 for sure. I think Krysten Ritter played JJ well, but the whole writing and all of the plots were a straight debacle. I cared about nothing that happened and felt like every decision of every character was deeply flawed.

Just finished the last episode. I think we all knew that it was going to be really hard to top S1, but still, what a disappointment. Good acting, terrible writing. The worst writing was JJ's inner monologues: super cringey and didn't seem genuine at all. Basically George Lucas level bad writing.
