Well, you just said it. The whiny, pathetic Sammi actually beating Jwoww in a fight (whose considered a boss) gets her some respect in the power rankings. Also, throwing blows is good TV anyway so she's adding something to the show... also seemed like she initiated it from the clips posted. She randomly entered the convo just to piss Jwoww off.

The editing is this episode was all over the place, or else a ton of scenes have been planned or restaged(?) for effect

Also, in that shot with the taxi, "Vinnies girl" is sitting on Situations lap, and she walks in with Situation, then in the shot where they're all in bed, Pauly just says "vinny is with his girl", they don't actually show them hooking up, it seems they didnt, which is why its not that crazy that situation kisses her on the lips seen as its more apparent she was there to **** him.

Also, later on in the episode,

Sam, clearly upset about the note



She then goes to bed crying her eyes out.

I noticed that scene where his outfit was totally different also, i was pretty confused at the time.


At least they finally showed MVP hooking up with some girls, put the whole "there not getting any" theory to rest. They showed Situation making out with 4+ girls that episode when they really haven't shown him doing much of that at all the previous shows

Just rewatched the episode, this is confirmed true. It's yellow at first and then changes to blue 3/4 of the way through. It's divided by one of the side monologues though. It's clear they used one scene, shoved in the monologue, and then used a similar but different scene for the last part.

I went back and rewatched this as well. He is definitely wearing a different shirt when he gets home but everyone else is wearing the same thing so I'm guessing he changed his shirt in the cab.

You're right about Situation and the blonde though. He had her before, then Vinnie got into bed with her, she's shown alone in bed the next morning, and then Situation kisses her on the lips goodbye. The evidence points to Vinnie striking out imo.

Actually the "extraction" scene towards the beginning, while enjoyable, seemed really staged as well. Just the whole way Situation was talking about how they were going to pull it off seemed scripted, and then it all went down too perfectly, with the fat chick just meekly deciding to go to sleep when she allegedly didn't know about the other women and thus theoretically could have hooked up with one of the guys.

I don't know about Jersey Shore, but Real World really isn't staged at all. You put a bunch of ridiculous people in a setting involving lots of alcohol every single night and you're going to get some ridiculous things. If you want heavily produced reality, think of stuff like Run's House or The Hills. Shows based around young people getting wasted don't really need a heavy hand to get some awesome stuff.

They're editing it like this is the first time the guys have hooked up. Vinny hooks up plenty, it just doesn't get shown.

And yeah, I guarantee all three of them are pulling all the time.

Yea I realize they've probably been hookin up plenty off camera, but to edit Vinny hookin up when he didn't [which is what people are thinkin], is different. That's not twisting it, that's creating it (making it up). Afaik, they haven't done that before on this show.

There's also a huge difference between producing that as it happens and editing it to make it look like it did. I was just talking about the former.

I really think it's the editing more than anything else that makes it look like it does. Sure, they know they're on camera and they act accordingly, but keep in mind Situation and the others were doing all of this in the first season when they had no fame or audience, they were doing their natural thing in real time. Some of these people are such larger-than-life characters that it's tough to believe that for the most part, this is who these people really are, in real life.

Also, I believe everything the girls say and do are real... none of them seems smart enough to fake all of the stupid **** they do.

I highly doubt this is like "The Hills" where it's just filmed documentary style and there is a script. I've seen the cast members of Jersey Shore act, they are all terrible. That said with months of footage the producers can edit this to tell a lot of different stories, some of which may exaggerate real life or present it in a completely different light. Why the hell they decided that the Ronnie and Sam drama is the most compelling story to tell I have no freakin' idea.

My only exposure to The Hills is via The Soup. Do they really need a script to stare awkwardly at each other in silence?
